This is giving me more reassurance the dial shifter I’m putting in today is the way to go. My 4 and 2 year olds are in an interesting/curious phase right now.
Mine broke on Monday. It was oddly stuck shut and so I tried pressing firmer, which opened it, but a black piece of plastic fell into the cup holder. Sure enough, small piece on the right of the holder broke off and now it won’t stay shut.
Going to try the warranty route. Pretty annoyed...
Dealer replaced it today under warranty. No fuss or hassle. They tested it to make sure my dash cam wasn’t the cause but ultimately ruled the battery defective.
Mine’s two months shy of 3 years and starting to give me trouble. Gonna try the dealer tomorrow at my scheduled appointment, if they won’t replace it I’ll start shopping for a new one.
I just had this happen to my 2.7 this week. Truck's coming up on 3 years old. Fortunately I already have service booked in two weeks, hoping it will get me by til then but will have them check it out.
Truck rarely sits more than a day, almost all my drives are 30 min+. A little surprised this...
Even the dry install, they were very easy to bend and shape. I went an inch or two at a time and just made sure everything was aligned. They’re very thin pieces so it’s easy to work with. I would have opted for the wet method if it was a single large piece covering more of the tail light.
Got them done in March 2023, $499 + hst. That included unmounting my old tires, powder coating the wheels, remounting the new tires with tpms sensors and balancing.
They had them for about 5 days, I was on my winters so it wasn’t a big deal.
You’re right, they’re the same wheels just not black. You could easily get those powder coated, I did it to my xlt wheels. Still holding up very well, but they don’t see winter. Not sure it would make a difference though, this stuff is tough and they gave me a lifetime warranty (excluding curb...
I did the exact same ones, same vendor. Makes the tail lights look so much better. I’ve been bugging him for similar ones to cover the chrome of the xlt headlights, he said he’s working on it but it’s a tricky install. I also got the emblem vinyls from that vendor, excellent quality.
Mostly in normal mode. I don’t flip it into sport too often. Most of my driving is 80-100km/h cruising.
The 5100s have been great. I still want to do the fronts, but the rears have made a stability difference.
A little bit of corrosion, but not as bad as I was expecting. I’m in SW Ontario and...
3.73 isn't a game-changer. I have it with the 2.7 payload package and the way you've described normal mode is the same for my truck. I hate when it races to 9/10 gears and then refuses to downshift, lugging the engine.
