Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
What's mine is hers. Shoes, clothes, jewelry, travel, cars. I did not know going into this marriage that she already had a 10th degree black belt in shopping.

My wife is more frugal than me, so I have no worries.

When we got married in 2002, my wife asked to see my checkbook register as we put our accounts together. I laughed and handed it to her. She asked what was funny. I said she'd find out. She opened it and the last transaction I'd written down was in 1998. She asked how much money I had. No idea I said. We went to ATM and checked my balance. I had over $5k in my checking.

I said you don't spend much when you only buy gas, Mt Dew and Skoal Wintergreen.

My buddy spent $28K on a stroker motor for his Corvette. Had the shop write out a wife receipt that said 'Tune-Up, $600'.

He showed her that receipt and she complained that it was too much.

Guidelines for understanding negotiating with Russians (whether business, political, or ecclesiastical):

1) What's mine, is mine.
2) What was once mine, is mine.
3) What's yours, is negotiable.
