I’ve read about a right hand USB C cord. Do I need that?

You need a 9 foot USB-C 3.2Gen2 cable. Comma sells one in their shop or you can buy one on amazon as long as it meets those very specific requirements. There are no long ones that have an angle on the cable.

if you are making or buying the sliding dock, then the long cable doesn't need a right angle, the short one between the dock and the device does. You can use the stock one and coil it up a little, or buy the cables in the sliding dock link.

The comma harness said it was 9.5 feet long. Isn’t that the right one? You sent me your sliding dock. But do I need an additional short USB C cable? I’m just trying to be ready for install.

Looks like they shipped the right cable (finally). You will need a short cable between the dock and the device, although you can bypass the dock and plug directly into the device with the long cable while you wait on the short one.

For those interested in trailer pulling, I have a 6900lb empty, close to 10500lb loaded 32’ travel trailer with around 1k tongue weight on a 2023 503a 5.0L coyote with tow package, although I have the 3.73 locking diff and the max tow hitch so I basically have max tow without having max tow.

I go back and forth with it. Sometimes it’s a savior. Sometimes it’s as bad as South Park’s Twitch. I tend to use it when there’s flat terrain more than down hills, mostly due to my own fear of sway ( I was going 75 with a 2.3l ranger pulling a 16’ U-Haul 5 pin harness. Lucky to be alive. I will forever more be terrified sway)

That said, it’s about balance. When I have the black and grey tanks empty, it’s night and day vs with them full. If I don’t empty them, it’s bounce city and the 3x gets very confused due to the lack of patch as noted previously.

So all that to say that as long as you’re not close to maxing out, give it a shot. And keep it balanced as you can. More up front than in back is always better.

Kind of a side topic here… Mine is trying to take blue Cruise 1.4 update but doesn’t even have an option to retry to install after a few failed attempts.

My question is will this fix my IMPA to the latest firmware or do I still need FRDS to do that? If so, is there a way to force the update now that it’s attempted a few times?

Last thing here, if anybody’s looking for settings that are a little more tight that will start to break preemptively on turns a bit better as well, try what I have below. They may look a little far, but I was able to reduce all ping-pong in curves while still having tight control.

Yes, this is pretty much good advice in general for towing.

You can also set path angle amplitude to 0 when towing, and just tweak the Predicted Curvature Ratio. PC is much less twitchy than path angle and should help smooth things out.

Most likely it doesn't like your battery State of Charge. You can use forscan to reset the BMS and see if it will try again. If it has hit it's maximum number of attempts you will need FDRS to get the update.

Crazy how different our trucks are. I just tried this and the steering was super jerky back and forth at 75.

Two questions:
1) is Jan 22 still the latest build (I’m pulling from staging 2.1)
2) why are my 3 adjustment options greyed out in below?

1. Yes
2. you have to select the “custom” profile first.

It really is. But that also why it explains why I liked very different profiles up until now.

look at my in lane adjustment as well. I believe you told somebody they should never go above -4. I’m at -8 and sometimes I contemplate going to -9 or 10.
