Introducing Bluepilot! A Ford specific fork for Comma3X / OpenPilot

Ok need some help. Got everything installed this morning and everything worked great on my first two drives. I originally installed experimental and realized that was out of date so installed stable. It wouldn’t let me do it by selecting target branch and switching so I reset the device and installed using the url. Since then when I drive it just stays on the main dashboard then the screen shuts off. On the left of the main screen it shows vehicle online. I’ve reseated all connections.

Any suggestions?

If it doesn’t go from the main screen to the camera when you start the truck that means it isn’t detecting the ignition signal. It’s a wiring issue 99% of the time.

thanks. That was it. I am using the short cable that came with it as mentioned before while I wait for what I need to come in. It worked fine that way earlier. I just bypassed the mount and put the long cable right into the device and it’s working perfectly now. Thank you!

Coudl be an issue with the mount. I usually test them all before I send them out, but with the christmas rush, I might have missed one or two. I have had a bad USB coupler before. If the long cable into the dock and then the short one into the comma creates issues, then I can send you new couplers to glue in.

I'm currently doing a ton of backlogged update with fdrs. I understand that blue cruse 1.4 is being installed and I have the forscan changes.
I use blue pilot and run in ACC mode. Will I see anything different? Presently I have my comma completely removed because it blocks half the databuss even when disconnected from the comma itself.

I have the newest PSCM but had to roll back to the last IPMA because the new one broke lane centering and BC. With just the new PSCM I saw zero ping ponging on my Comma 3x on the latest Bluepilot staging 1.1. I am honestly amazed how well everything works compared to Blue Cruise. Amazing work!!

Had help from Jesse. We tried everything possible to fix so those impacted didn’t need to roll back but nothing worked unfortunately. Hopefully a future update fixes it but for now there isn’t much difference between the current IPMA and one version before it.

Don’t worry about it unless it’s an issue.

Luckily yes. If you end up having the issue we will be able to get you rolled back. I have done it 3-4 times now due to intentionally breaking it a few times to try various fixes.

Are you implying that once I reinstall my comma and update to bluepilot 2.0 it will not be a issue no matter what? How did the people that were impacted get resolved without your assistance?

I don’t know that I made sure I was in a known working condition when I installed my Comma so I wouldn’t have to ask too many questions (despite that I did still ask @Ajzride a lot of dumb questions!).

If your Blue Cruise and lane centering aren’t working you can try your Comma / Bluepilot but I can’t say either way if it will work. If it is working it should 100% work.
