I'm not sure what type of breaker would fit in the Generac panel but if you could use something like this, https://www.canadabreakers.ca/products/dnpl153015, you would be able to keep your 30A for your AC and gain 2x 15A circuit. I would recommend that you talk to your electrician as I don't know much about the Generac product. Potentially someone in this forum have the answer....
That is one crazy tandem quad pole(?) breaker. Interesting!

In reality or to be precised the 30A are 2 poles and the 15A are single pole in this configuration. So you can run 240V on the 30A breakers in a safe manner. The beauty of it is, you can have on multitude of configuration. When your electrical panel is full, these are real space saver.

Yeah I just called it quad pole because it's 4 on 1 breaker. Really it's like you said. I've never seen one like that. It is really interesting and a cleaver way to get more single phase circuits if you're only left with some dual phase ones.

got this installed today. is it possible to swap the two 30s out? im not using the dual 30s, although looking at it now we probably could have done upstairs ac?

i dunno. whatd you guys pick? this'll give us living room, fridge, one bathroom, internet, and furnace. i dont even know if internet works in a power outage. lol. open to feedback.

yeah, i have that box in the lower right corner that is my fiber service off the street. that little box that is powered by the plug above it. also controls some garage lights/door openers/sprinkler. so that is one 15. then in my master bathroom is the master closet that has the junction box where the router actually lives, so that's another 15 taken up. but should allow internet if it still works. actually...i probably should have realized this sooner, but im pretty sure we get notifications for internet out when power goes out too, hah. we'll see. i thought this was just a core set of functions should the power be down for days. (just moved to NTX). i'll keep looking into swapping those two 30s. im dense when it comes to this stuff....don't know if you could just add in 2 individual 15s, or 20s, instead.
yes, you can swap out the 30s. See:

yes you can change out those two pole breakers. Make sure you use Siemens breakers though! And while you are at it I’d change that 15 amp breaker with the wire connecting the breaker handles together with a proper Siemens 15 amp two pole breakers. You want both breakers to trip if there is a fault on one part of the circuit.

Hi everyone, I read everything here and it seems the official way to go is with a transfer switch. Looking on Generac website I found this Whole House Transfer Switch 6382 that should work together with a Switched Neutral Kit 6297.

Install guideline: https://www.generac.com/generaccorp...hes/install-guidelines-6335_6382.pdf?ext=.pdf

Quote from page 3, Installation:
"NOTE: ON NEUTRAL BONDED GENERATORS: Some portable generators are intended for use on jobsites and are subject to OSHA regulations for GFCI protection on all receptacles. These "contractor grade" generators have their neutral wire bonded to the ground wire to pass OSHA inspection. When connected to a transfer switch, this may cause nuisance tripping of the generator GFCI breaker. When using a neutral bonded generator to power a house or building through a transfer switch, consult the generator manufacturer or local authorized service dealer to determine if the neutral bond wire on the generator can be disabled without voiding the warranty. If it can be disabled, then no modifications to your transfer switch installation are needed. If the neutral bond cannot be removed or voids the warranty, you must install a Switched Neutral Kit (SNK, Generac model 6297) 30 Amp accessory with your transfer switch 6382."

I was able to test today the 'hack' with a new 2ft cable made by me and not connecting the ground wire, everything works ok.
However, the electric company called me and they told me that they are ordering the whole house transfer switch 6382, hopefully they can figure out what to be done with the aparent missing of switched neutral kit 6297.
Will keep everyone posted, the estimated for getting the parts is 1-2 weeks.

Is this the switched neutral kit?

Bummed that no one has been able to decipher how to 'unbound' the Powerboost Generator.

IMO, the Generac 6852/ 6854 transfer switch will be a temporary solution because Ford will make an update either to existing trucks, or future trucks.

Also, my home was finished in just Sept 2022, is it a given that even new construction places the ground and the neutral on the same bus?

Finally got around to do this install, have an electrician scheduled for Friday to install this (Generac 6852). Hopefully goes well, I am not an electrician by any means, but I will post any updates on here. This thread has been super helpful, now its just a matter of if I can read and if my electrician is capable lol.

An electrician wil wire it that way. The NEC requires there to be a single neutral gound bond somewhere. In the case of my home (which I wired in accordance with the NEC and Wyoming law) the utility requires that bond out in the meterbox. So I had to remove the green screw that came in the panel I bought. Had they allowed that green screw to be the bonding point, I might have researched it and, if legitimate, used removing that screw when on the F-150 generator to be the way to get the generator to work. :)

What I don't get is why these guys don't make a whole house panel. The 7.2 kW generator in the truck will run the whole house. What's more important is that it is a "True 7.2 kW" generator. What I mean by that is the engine driving it is much larger than the generator, so there's no reduction of power available for altitude. I happen to live at over 5,000 feet altitude so there's a reduction of 30% power if your engine is matched to your generator. I need a 30 or 40 slot panel like this.
