Our brand new 2024 F150 King Ranch with a 3.5 Liter had a fuel guage issue. The truck had 775 miles on it and the guage would read for example: 50 miles to empty when we got ready to go some where. When we checked it on the FORD Pass site, it would say 227 miles to empty. BUT, while driving the truck would read different saying it had 150 miles to empty.
It would change readings while driving it.
SO, I took it back to my dealer, and they hooked it up to their computer. Found it to be a sending unit. Ordered a new sending unit. Dropped the tank, and found out that there was also a cable with a corroded end on it, so ordered it and put it in. (Said it had no dilectric grease in it from the factory).
Total repair time was 2 1/2 days.
Truck seems to be working fine now. The tech said it had about a 1/2 tank of fuel. SO, we knew that the tank reading was wrong.
I didn't pick up my copy of the repair order, but I will. Was hoping to possibly have parts numbers on it for anyone to use it for future repairs.
