HVAC module programming error

sorry you’re running into issues. Just bought one brand new from ford for $111 and it went in and took my as built.

I got a good deal on this one too, but now I might now why ?

It is failing on the write. It reads fine.

I was using the OBDLink Ex wired adapter. I have a couple other cheap ones too I can try.

Edit, this is what the 21 module had on it before I try to write the 22 data to it.

Yeah.. Need to write it for sure. What strategy is in it? When you go to modules

I don’t have the 21 module installed anymore, I can go toss it in real quick. I panicked and put my OEM one back in.

I have AnyDesk installed on my laptop.

I use teamviewer.. I have a license .. Its free

21 module is in. I just installed my 22 back in the surround with the radio controls and stuff but neither was actually in my truck. I had the whole thing out to do the cup holder lights.

I’ll get the laptop connected now.

Jesse said the firmware on that module is out of date. He was going to flash it for me but my truck battery was too low.

Going to charge it and try again tomorrow.

I had to upgrade to a beta version of Forscan for it to talk to my 22. 2.4.6 Otherwise it did the service interrupted. https://www.forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=19552

I did replace my HVAC module. You can't do a PMI in FDRS since the new module is a different part number then what is in the inventory of the truck that Ford has on file.

I’ve tried the latest beta version of 2.4.7 with no luck.

I think it’s the firmware on the module.

I was yes, and it (the tender) said my battery was full.

However Jesse noted right away when he connected it was pretty low. Then right before he was going to flash it, my truck did the power off to save battery thing so we had to quit.

Earlier in the day when I was trying it myself, it had more charge, and later last night when I tried again with the latest beta version it was almost fully charged. So who knows. Gonna try again later today.

We got it, all is good now.

Jesse was able to write to the module. Not sure exactly what he did, but he got it.

We weren’t able to flash the firmware but that shouldn’t matter as everything is working fine with the old firmware.
