Well so much for leaving my truck alone being any protection ?

I have a ‘22 302A with those DRLs.

I just replaced passenger side, no Forscan on my lights. 1600.00 plus installation
2021 Lariat 5.0..........I have driven Ford since 1968, this one takes the cake
At that price, I wonder if we are better to replace them with aftermarket units.

No issues with mine yet, but maybe I need to consider ESP. Wonder what they'd charge me for a 2022 302a with 46K Miles in Canada?

I’m guessing the colder air in Canada is helping yours last longer.

? what happen to the days when you just replaced the bulb with a $35 bulb. This is making me reconsider buying a Ford if my DRL only lasts 20,000 hours and will cost $1,600 + labor to replace when it goes out. What good is an LED if it lasts less than the good old incandescent bulbs.

I've seen several stock XLT's in my area with burnt out leds only on the vertical led side. Only with led reflectors not led projectors head light assemblies. I would assume those owners did not use forscan because the trucks looked stock.
SAME!!

each headlight costed approximately $750USD. having the ESP will pay for itself in no time if the bullsh*t keeps like i had said in my other post.

this is more of a ford issue. i don't see the same happening with other automotive manufacturers. i've had multiple other trucks in the past and nothing went wrong with their lights whatsoever.

i remember some time ago that i would see plenty of GMCs i think with DRLs or headlights out on one side... either way, i believe the majority of the ones im seeing are 2021s.. by next year im assuming 2022s will start going out too

I did go to my Dealer in Hot Springs and that was the quote I was given. 1600.00
I thought no way jack, come back home and went to a body shop that does most of my work when needed, same price, OE Ford front passenger light and DRL are built together. The OEM light didn't come with the box that's mounted behind the light {I don't know what it's called} I did get my old one after the new one was installed.
Someone needs to start rebuilding these things!

Check this out. Start at 15:30 into the video.

Basically the DRLs are light tubes and the actual light source is an LED mounted on a circuit board. This guy found the LEDs for the vertical section burned out.
