I recently had the driver side tail light go out from a hit-and-run. The entire light was replaced coincidentally the DRL on the driver side went out as well, (I thought maybe water got in the rear tail light before going into the shop and that’s what caused the front to go out ) but did not come back on after the rear fix. I’m being told those are not connected electrically and it was a coincidence that the DRL went out. When my mechanic tried to correct the DRL they ran into issues. It was at a Ford dealership and somehow in there after a BCM update, the driver light is now dead. I’m being told I need to buy the entire light at my expense out of my pocket. I went in with a headlight and came out without one (extremely expensive)later being told I need to replace the light. Has anyone gotten response on Ford for this seems Ludacris that a module behind the DRL creates a headlight issue after doing an update. And I’m stuck paying the bill. Any help on this would be great!!
I have a 21 lariat 3.5 eco-boost never had any issues electrically or mechanically until they tried to repair the front light that went out at the same time the back light went out.
