Does anyone have an HVAC with heated and cooled buttons but not the HSW button, a take-off from doing the HSW modification perhaps, that they no longer need. I am adding cooled seats to my 302A and could optionally use one at a great price :)
I've got mine still. Send me an offer.

My parts came in and are now installed. The wiring to the SCCM was already there. Just needed a new heated steering wheel and the complete SCCM unit plus new steering bolts. I did not buy a new HVAC unit. I did the suggested forscan changes that I could find. I did the change to super duty.

I have a 2023 PB Lariat with build date 8-23 with a 501A package.

The heated steering wheel button on the screen does not light up nor does it work. Everything else works. All the buttons on the new steering wheel work. All the climate controls I put on the screen work except for the heated steering wheel. I did save my SCCM as built and wrote it back to the new SCCM.
These are the settings I changed. I based this on a couple of spreadsheets posted.

APIM
7D0-02-01 XXXX-5XXX-XX
7D0-02-02 X6XX-XXXX-XX
7D0-03-02 10XX-XXXX-XX super duty
7D0-01-01 XXXX-XXXX-X4XX
7D0-09-01 XXXX-XXXX-FEXX

IPC
720-05-02 5XXX-XXXX-XX

SCCM
724-01-01 XXXX-8XXX-XX enable HSW for PB
724-06-01 X7XX-XXXX-XX on for 60 min
724-06-01 EXXX-XXXX-XX 100 degrees

Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to pull up in Alldata the C218D 4 pin connector for the heated wheel and this is what it mentions:

I'll probably call Ford tomorrow and see if that pigtail kit is available. Would be nice because it would have the connector, pins, and leads already in it. The issue I'm running into is finding the correct terminals for this:

I did send Mouser an email to see if they can help on that though.

I got the HSW working. It turns out you have to enable the hvac even if you don't replace the hvac control. The setting I used was 733-01-02 XXX9-XXXX-XX

Hi there. I've read most of the OE parts posts, but they left me with more questions than answers due to the different models, model years and permutations.

Also I don't want to do the SuperDuty code change, I will just buy the HVAC module to get the button.

I am getting a 2023 Lariat with 502A, but heated wheel was deleted and it is outside the performance upgrade build date window. I assume it does not have the HSW, appropriate SCCM or HVAC button (I pick it up Saturday). It has power steering column adjust.

What OE parts do I need for a 2023 Lariat to install it, with the HVAC button?

Thanks.

Follow this. All required OE parts are spelled out here. If you need more help just ask here and I’ll point you in the right direction.

Perfect, thank you so much. I'm also assuming because my truck is a 2023 Lariat 502A that the 2 pin wiring under the SCCM is sitting there.

Will I need to use FORscan to enable anything if I am buying the HVAC/button?

My 23 502a had all of the wiring. You will need to use forscan. Follow the information on the very first post of this thread. Make sure to fully back up your hvac and Sccm modules before you remove them, this is critical.

Unless you also have FDRS, you will have a dtc in the hvac for module configuration not complete. This does not affect anything though and can be ignored.

Are these the"as-builts" for those modules being referred to in the thread?

re: FDRS(might be off-topic) are there any subscriptions that are just for a month or something cheaper? Does FDRS work with the same adapters as FORscan?

Yes, the as-built is what needs to be backed up for each module.

FDRS has a cheapish license for 3 days for $50. Requires a mongoose cable or better, and the mongoose is $500 ish.

Can you shed some helpful info on your experience with this?
Thanks John for the note-

it can definitely work on the 8” screen you just have to mess with the APIM settings a fair bit, I had to change my truck to pretend like it’s a super duty (APIM) as well as enable heated and cooled seats (APIM) and all of a sudden it worked! Keep in mind I have never had an OTA update since 2021 though

you also have to make the changes to HSW in the SCCM as per all the other guidance

Ford F-150 Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit - updated with information IMG_3118

I now have a couple of weird settings like ‘turn on cooled seats at startup’ but other that that it works perfect
