No, or pretty sure 99% it doesn't, I totally spaced looking right there when I put my left switch back in a while back.does your wheel have the heating element in it as well?

that would be a jackpot, and also the universe telling you to buy a SCCM like yesterdayNo, or pretty sure 99% it doesn't, I totally spaced looking right there when I put my left switch back in a while back.
ThanksEh, if you have adaptive steering its not going to be pretty, or cheap to get heat back. There have been a few others in this thread in the same boat as you, but not sure if they ever went through with it or not. Since you have a 23, you might just fall under upgrade TSB that just came out, it's a short list but might as well check since you have a limited. When was it built? If between 9/22/22 and 3/29/23, you might just be in luck if your VIN is on the list and could get it added for free.

ML3Z3F791DD is the SCCM for adaptive steering, but I wonder if in you case the clock spring is already the right one or not, next thing to check would be in the wheel is equipped with heat or not also.

It seems a lot of the HSW delete trucks had all the parts except the correct SCCM (and HVACM with hard button)No, or pretty sure 99% it doesn't, I totally spaced looking right there when I put my left switch back in a while back.
Ah nice, ya I would see if your VIN is on the list then, good chance it could be so you'll get hooked up with HSW for freeThanks
not sure about the tsb my vin is 1ftfw1ed9pfb22471 and it says it was built 3/9/23. Nothing on the website or ford pass app. Guess a call to the dealer is in store.
I'll have to check my wheel for sure and report back, either way my heated raptor wheel is going on so doesn't really matter in my case.It seems a lot of the HSW delete trucks had all the parts except the correct SCCM (and HVACM with hard button)
Well, I finally had time to give these settings a shot. I have an XLT 302A and only have heated seats (not cooled) so I used IPC code 3 instead of 5. But that didn't work so I tried 5 as if I have Heated & Cooled seats & I still can't seem to get the wheel to heat up. Is the new HVAC I installed with both heat & cool buttons not compatible? It appears I can't get the seats to heat now either. Unless there's something inhibiting them if the temperature is warm outside? It's still 82 degrees where I'm at.Check these settings

Where can we check the TSB for VIN numbers? My 23 Limited falls in the right date range.Eh, if you have adaptive steering its not going to be pretty, or cheap to get heat back. thats the hard restart process. push and hold power and next until it hard restarts.Well, I finally had time to give these settings a shot. I did find a note about changing HVAC 733-01-02 (4) from xxx1 to xxx9 and the HSW button on the HVAC panel now lights up! Small victory, but the wheel still doesn't heat.HELP!
On another subject, I was looking at a couple other settings while making these changes and switched on the 75th anniversary splash screen. This required enabling "Unreal" theme. the spreadsheet notes say to "RESET" APIM in Forscan after either/both changes. What does that actually mean?? Surely not to reset the settings back to 'As Built' otherwise that defeats the purpose. Any help here as well?
Thanks.
You would need to get with your dealer, when I tried to lookup the list, it takes you to someplace where you need Ford login credentials.Where can we check the TSB for VIN numbers? My 23 Limited falls in the right date range.
Ah ya, that would be your issues then if you have it configed for heat only, but the HVAC has both heat and cooled buttons. You might try to mess around with the two values below and change them to include cooled also, that should make the HVAC happy and will output the right message to the seats to enable heat, just don't use the cooled button at all.Is the new HVAC I installed with both heat & cool buttons not compatible? I was hoping someone here had OASIS access and could check. My dealer service department is playing dumb. They did note the open recall about the parking brake harness but when I asked if they had the parts in stock for that recall the response was I need to bring the truck in so they can determine if it needs the fix...You would need to get with your dealer, when I tried to lookup the list, it takes you to someplace where you need Ford login credentials.
Steve, which power are you talking about? The HVAC power button or the truck? The way it’s written ("RESET" APIM in Forscan) sounds like you have to do something in Forscan.thats the hard restart process. push and hold power and next until it hard restarts.
That will not do a hard reset of the APIM. To do a hard reset you must push and hold "power and track down" at the same time for about 10 seconds, and a prompt will appear asking to continue with the reset.radio power
