Is both a clock spring and SCCM needed? (Lariat)

Thx
I think all u need is the sccm the clock spring shouldn’t matter because that’s the other buttons on steering wheel

This is the Complete assembly with turn signal stalk

ML3Z14A664B

This is what they call the Airbag contact assembly
So I would need the entire assembly, not just the airbag contact assembly like you have listed here?

I got a clockspring/SCCM assembly off eBay but it’s missing the orange airbag clips. Can anyone tell me if those are removable so I can take them from my existing plugs, or have we confirmed that I can use my current clockspring?

I’ve read through this thread like 10 times. Can anyone summarize for me?

I have a 21 XLT

I believe I need to order:

- steering wheel ML3Z-3600-RA

- clock spring ML3Z-14A664-B

- steering wheel bolt W721079-S437

Do I also need a SCCM? Anything else that I may have missed? I don’t plan on buying new hvac controls and will just update APIM to f250.

Thank you!
Which level trim do you have? Just curious I’ve been thinking about doing this but I have a 301A

One more question for those that have done this, which wire on the 2 pin connector at the back of the SCCM is power and which is ground? Got everything installed today and just need to run the wiring later this week. The rest of the install was a piece of cake, thankful the steering wheel is so easy to pull since the first clockspring I installed was bad!

That’s frustrating when you have to do the same job twice like that. I’m prepping all of my parts (I believe I have everything) and FORScan updates to make the HSW the same as the factory install (I haven’t seen a list of all required or optional changes), there’s a few remote start bits that need to be toggled, but I gotta wait till I’m healed up from my bicep reattachment

If anyone has a list of all forscan updates required, it’d be great to see, otherwise I can share what I have put together so far, for peer review lol

I found a 502A that is optioned very similar to my 501A and compared the As-Builts. This is what I have come up with so far:

Keep in mind, the bit changes I am making will not necessarily be the same as your own, but if you use Livnitup's FORScan spreadsheet, you can at least look at the addresses and compare your bits to the bits in the FORScan spreadsheet.

The change to the HVAC module is because I am also replacing my HVAC module to one with a hard HSW button. You may or may not need that if you plan to control through the Sync system.

I bear no responsibility for any issues with anyone's vehicles, this post is simply to help point people in the right direction. I am a novice with FORScan and my values should be double and triple checked.

The WT-1004 terminals above were close but did not quite fit into the BCM connector, so ended up getting a 3 day pass for Ford service manuals to confirm what I needed.

Here's a schematic showing pins 1/2 on the connector at the SCCM for anyone else wondering which pin is which:

Part number for that connector is below as well, I know this was mentioned above but might help to have it all in one spot.

Hopefully this helps someone else out! Looking forward to getting this finished up once I get the correct terminal in and a working clockspring.
