I’ve read through this thread like 10 times. Can anyone summarize for me?

I have a 21 XLT

I believe I need to order:

- steering wheel ML3Z-3600-RA

- clock spring ML3Z-14A664-B

- steering wheel bolt W721079-S437

Do I also need a SCCM? Anything else that I may have missed? I don’t plan on buying new hvac controls and will just update APIM to f250.

Thank you!
Read through 10 times ... u and I both!
I believe clock spring = SCCM ... can anyone verify?
Thx!

This is the parts list that I have, it appears that the SCCM and clock spring are the same thing. The one thing it appears you are missing is the WPT-404 connector. This is just the connector with a couple of wires coming off and it may still require the additional lead shown in post #120. I have not dug into it yet, but I will likely purchase it before I even get into the column.

BIG EDIT: I didn't realize you have an XLT until after I posted it. This is what I am doing for my LARIAT, so yours may require more

Have we been able to confirm that we can only replace the clock spring instead of the entire sccm assembly?

I think I got blocked by @Jesse-Infotainment ? I cannot see any of his posts. I was going through his posts to help answer your question, but there are several gaps for me where his posts should be

U need to replace the sccm because the 2 pin connector is under the SCCM

This is what I got WT-1004 but it’s a 18 gauge, I haven’t wired it up yet, I hope this is the correct terminal going to BCM

You need 10 gauge

18 gauge is not adequate

The schematic calls out 18 gauge for wiring for this circuit. The 2pin connector is a 10 gauge and it’s not meant to be used for under the steering column but it will work. It’s listed for components like power window motors. If I’m wrong do u happen to have the part number for 10 gauge pins going to the BCM for power source.

I thought the clock spring had this connection. I’m trying not to replace the blinker / wiper stalks if possible and remove just the clock spring.

Yes harness from sccm 2 pin connector is 10 gauge and going to BCM pin 15 which I can only find in 18 gauge

No the clock spring bolts on top of the sccm and the harness for heated steering is under the sccm module for power and ground circuit 2 pin connector

You are correct. My mistake. I thought it was 10

18 is what it calls for. At the SCCM to the BCM..

Is both a clock spring and SCCM needed? (Lariat)

Thx
