Whats a decent h7 battery that is priced good?

I'm partial to NAPA Batteries. I installed a NAPA 9894R some three years ago. No problems since. Whatever battery you select, give it a "wetting down" charge. A low rate long term charge. Mine went some 9 or 10 hours at 2 amps trailing off to much a lower rate.

I got the Everstart Platinum AGM H7 from Walmart a few weeks ago. Was less expensive than other similar batteries and has a 4 year free replacement warranty. As mentioned above, fully charge any battery prior to installation and then perform the BMS reset procedure after the installation is complete.

I believe those who seek to fix a battery problem with a slightly larger battery are fixing the wrong problem. As it happened I put in a stock battery off the shelf of a NAPA store and have had zero problems since (3 years). Later I put in a dashboard voltmeter and have observed how the electrical system operates. It is true that Ford appears to have programmed 80% as the full charge point of the battery. I believe the reason is that the AGM type battery is more susceptible to overcharging damage than a flooded cell type lead acid battery. What I don't like is that the system temperature compensation sensor is located outside the engine compartment resulting in cold winter day on a long drive compensated system voltage up around 15VDC. This even after the run was so long that the battery had to have come into equilibrium with engine compartment temperature. The problem as I see things is a faulty Ford OEM battery. I can only speculate as to the issue, but my take is that there is an alloying problem in the Ford OEM batteries.

Walmart H8 AGM is made from Varta in Germany. It’s an excellent battery.

I like Koreans. They have good food. Seriously tho we buy flooring from Korea by the boat load and it's very very good. I think it's because they don't have to train factory workers as often as Chinese workers that commit suicide from being slave laborers.

Been to S Korea. They're a good friend. Food's pretty good too. I suppose I don't mind a battery from them, but ya know... Buying USA is a really good idea.
