Not the cheapest mod at $35 but I like the color pop from these tow hook covers from Towkz.

More expensive than a rattle can but cheaper than a powdercoat job.
I'm going look. I been trying to find something like that but only found like 2 colors. I wanted to put a little color up there without breaking the bank.

My favorite cheap mod is my custom acrylic cup holder inserts from Colby at ThryveByDesign (https://www.etsy.com/shop/ThryveByDesign)... they fit perfectly in the front cup holders and "light up" when the ambient light comes on. ?.

Unfortunately, I just checked his website and it looks like he is taking a break.

My truck is named "Bumble" after the abominable snowman in Rudolph.

I like the way that looks. Unfortunately I don't have ambient lighting . Maybe that could be another mod that has purpose in this thread. Lol

Adding ambient lights are easy enough to do. There's a thread here explaining what's involved. Did mine a couple of months ago

No one mentioned coating the wheelwells instead of buying the liner? I used 3m rubberized undercoating and it's been absolutely awesome, even on dirt roads.
Got any pics.
I thought about that after the fact when I got my bed liner sprayed in could've got him to spray wells too.

Yeah it was really noticable with the space white paint, but now it looks as it should.

Been trying to carve out some time to make a nice post for this, including links and such, but I’ve decided to just go high level and try to organize it in a way that makes since. I understand the spirit of the thread, but “Free” and “Cheap” have very different meanings for just about everyone. Father had a saying I hate catching myself repeating “Anything free is worth saving up for”, rarely are free things really free…

Cheap is totally relative, to some, Fuel wheels are a very expensive modification, yet others are putting these on their trucks:

https://www.hrewheels.com/wheels/series-p1/p161

Those are $2650 each and somebody with a Raptor R is totally getting them and not even blinking at the price when Fuels wrapped in rubber are going on vehicles for less than 1 HRE without rubber.

Now that I’ve digressed, here’s my “list”

Maintenance related:
Fumoto Valve ~$25
Rust Reformer Spray paint for undercoating ~$10 a can
Catch Can ~$150
ODB Cable For Forscan changes and code diagnosis ~$60
Eastwood internal frame spray ~$30

Cargo Related:
Swing Case ~$220
BoxLinks ~$90 up through BuiltRight Options in hundreds
DIY Bedliner ~$50 and up
Hitches ~$20 and up
Rear seat release for inside cab ~$30
Tonneau Cover ~$200 and up
Tailgate dampener ~$40
Glove box organizer ~$20
Nook above glove box organizer ~$20
Under armrest console organizer ~$50
Under rear seat cubby ~$90 and up
Roof rack ~$175 and up
Bed rack ~$140 and up
Bed Rug ~$100 and up
Floor mats ~$100 and up

Lighting Related
Aftermarket 3rd Brake Light ~$50 and up
Led license plate lights ~$25
Ambient interior lighting ~$50 and up
Bed lighting ~$50 and up
Rock Lights ~$50 and up
Aftermarket Fogs ~$120 and up
Headlight and Taillight Tint ~$200 and up
Misc ~$50 and up - there’s a lot that can be done for cheap with LEDs

Appearance Related
Fender Vent modification/replacement ~$10 and up
Wheel well liner/modification ~$20 and up
Vinyl Wrapping ~$20 and up
Window Tint ~$100 and up
Pick Lift/Level ~$100 and up
Different Running Boards ~$100 and up
Paint emblems ~$20 and up
Remove air dam ~”Free”

There’s so much more that include something as simple as plastidipping chrome lug nuts black for a few bucks…

Happy modding

I understand that cheap for some people are expensive to others. Like with almost $3000 wheels and such. I mainly started this thread so people could kind of put their input as to mods they've done or maybe like stuff they've done just using forscan . Like the rubber coat of the wheel wells or the clips for the tow hooks. Just things people has done and maybe others haven't thought about or didn't know you could do and it wasn't crazy expensive.

I think the only other thing I'd care about is the stupid license plate lights. Why theyre the only yellow lights on the entire truck is beyond logic.

That reminds me, I had the right bulbs on hand from another project and changed them within days of delivery.

Someone asked if they interfered with nighttime use of the rear camera.

I didn't do before and afters but I noticed no maleffects.

You wouldn't happen to know which bulbs you had. I'm kind of scared because I do hear alot of people saying theirs interfered with camera

I'll have to look them up but I remember they were in the 600K color spectrum.
