I’ve always had occasional rough/odd shifts but 95% of the time it was fine. After this update we are down to being fine only half the time. Major downgrade in performance.
Same. I’d say mine was good 99% of the time. The only odd shift it would do is be a bit harsh/laggy? when going from Drive to Reverse. The actual driving was great. Now it feels like it’s hanging on upshifts in the lower gears and falls flat on its face when it comes to downshifting 6>5>4 especially when the ICE engine shuts down at the same time leads to a bang - jerk and then more jerks as it clearly screwed up.

Can anyone post the current update # they are on? My latest update was done on 5/16 and is #6.4.0 for my 23 PB.

Got the PCM update two weeks ago.

Today the transmission got stuck in 2nd gear then slammed into 8th gear. It then got stuck in 8th gear from a stop, slammed into 3rd, and is now shifting with a noticeable delay.

How in god's earth do you take a buttery smooth transmission and update it to be pure crap?

If someone made a tune, only for the transmission and to remove the 105 mph limiter, I would buy it in a heartbeat !!

Should I be grateful? The GWM update that I received 2 months ago broke something so I haven’t revived any OTA updates in 2 months.

Livernois will do that for you.

Edit: You have a 2024 - not sure if they're tunable yet.

I don't think I've received any updates in almost 2 months so no idea if I'm in the same revision as those here but my 6-5 downshift is by far my worst one. I'd like it fixed and I'd be pretty happy with the trans. I think sometimes if it goes 6 to 4 and skips 5 that one can lurch too.

I don't understand why they can't program this thing, after how many years of this 10 speed, to fade into the background like most other cars' automatics.

I’ve been watching it more since originally posting this thread and the 6 to 5 downshifts are definitely the worst when it comes to overall smoothness of the trans. Also what’s sort of unfortunate is when starting from a stop the truck used to get moving in electric at least up to a few 5mph or so now it almost immediate starts the ice engine most of the time. Having that first few mph in electric made for an almost totally smooth start now it just feels like any other vehicle with an auto start-stop. Annoying as hell as starting the 3.5L is definitely not a smooth affair. So unfortunate and disappointing as it was so totally good before at least for my truck :/

I reset the shift tables last night. My ride in this morning was the best its been in a good 4 - 6 weeks. I know its only one trip, but was awesome. I also feel like Ford updated the EV switchover / shifting strategy. The way the truck starts from stop and switches over is awesome. We will see what happens.

Truck definitely drives better than it ever has. (And drove amazing the first two years) I highly recommend that anyone having drivability issues after that last update to reset their trans tables.

Ford obviously made some fundamental driveability changes that are not compatible with the existing shift data.
