You forgot a huge number of rags or paper towels to clean up oil splashing everywhere. And a tarp to cover the cement. Maybe everyone doesn't let the drain plug fall in the drain pan hole, clogging the hole, so the oil overflows, and you have to reach in with your hand to fish it out.
This would have been a clean, beautiful oil change, had it not been for my brazen confidence in Amazon, yet here I am with an engine without oil in the driveway anticipating a correctly sized fumoto early in the AM.

Push comes to shove, I retorque the old plug.

That pan is definitely worth the money and if you want to clean up after the fact, ZEP instant oil absorber is pretty dumb simple.

Orange can of death?
first observation is the way or LACK of the way the front wheels are chocked. Staggered like that looks like it could roll backwards. front end lifted half a$$^& chocked in front of wheel and not at all in the rear.IMO the Fram oil filter is not the best choice. Cheaper but there is a reason why. At come time if you would purchase various oil filters Fram,STP, and WIX or Napa Gold, and cut them open at the end where the threads are you will definately see an inside construction difference. The amount of pleats in the paper filter part you will notice that they are not uniform AND some pleated filters have cardboard ends holding the filter together. The better filters have more and more uniform pleats with metal endcaps with anti-drainback valves in them. I know I'm way off on the correct answer as of whats wrong but I think for saftey and longevity you may want to do the research. Especially with the wheel chock deal......

First, I'm not going to fight you on Fram, it is rated for 10k and it wont see more than 5.5K, I guarantee it.

Second, chocked wheels, believe or not, the rear wheels are up too, so if the son of a bitch is rolling anywhere, it's forward. Parking break is On, I cannot express to you how much I want to watch my kids grow old. You can't see the two hein-werner 6 tons under the front of the truck because what's the point of showing you that?

I appreciate the concern, but of all the things in the photo, yours ain't it.

This is actually the highest quality Orange can of death, will be switching to RP at the 10k mark.

It’s a Fumoto and you are in the correct ballpark.
And one more thing....If you let dealer change your oil, you can use Ford Pass points to do so. Also if you ever have a mechanical failure, Ford Dealer will have the records as to wht type of oil and filter is used to meet their specs. If you cahnge your own, you'll have to provide receipts and records of type oil and filters and mileage documented .Even then you'll have a struggle to get any type engine failure approved without losing your cool

I really like both Ford Dealers I use for service.

Neither have bothered me for interval oil changes, they pull the plug, they see brown gold instead of black and move on, I'm not saying there's not customer abuse, I'm sure there is, but they have my file.

I'm honestly disappointed neither could even come close to making me a the offer I got when I ordered, and I wasn't even asking for a match, but water is well under the bridge at this point.

It's amazing what the correct threads can do. :)

Thats a nice setup for the 5.0. I hope your filter is setup nice too. Makes changing oil yourself convenient.

It is not hard to get to and I was able to get a wrench on it to help it come loose, but you are basically guaranteed to get oil on top of the front crossmember...

or you drop the plug in the bucket, spend minutes fishing it out , only to drop it in the sewer drain while wiping off the oil
