If you were on the fence. Jump down and get these. 295/70R18. This is the first thing I bought after buying a new truck. The stock Michelin tires are paper thin.

Both options will work. I have read that the 285 may rub on the front inner plastic liners at full lock in a turn, but very minor and can be modified to clear easily enough.

Both sizes are readily available at this time.

275/65R20 won’t rub at full lock with no level? Thought I read on this forum that they did. Maybe not?

I've seen quite a few posts saying no rub with no level with the 275. I have seen a few post stating a rub on the right side inner rubber liner rub.

Both clear fine.

For me, 285 is the only width that I would consider on the OEM wheels. 275 leaves your rims exposed and looks narrow. 295 looks like a donut and just too bulbous. Very 1980's looking.

That's my opinion.

Anyone running 285/75 R17's AT4W's on a 2"+ level yet? Looks like they're a bit larger than the same size in the AT3W

AT3W: 33.9" x 11.1"
AT4W: 34.1" x 11.6"

Looking to clear them on a Fox 2.5 coilover setup along with some Rek Gen A2001 series mud flaps.

Any word on when 295/65R20 are going to be available? My local store can’t get them but they say another store has them in stock.

I just checked with Falken and they are telling me the 295/65R 20 A/T4W is currently on back order with an ETA of 90 days out. That tells me that the tire is in production, so hopefully we start seeing them sooner as opposed to later.

Legit took 4 months from when I ordered to arrive and get installed! 285/55R22s AT4 Wild Peaks.

Can report a bit as I've driven them about 200 miles. Old tires were Recon 285/ 45 R22s. I will say the engine feels notably less responsive with these larger heavier tires. Like my Livernois tune was removed. At first it bothered me but it didn't take long for it to feel completely normal. Also, they ride very smooth but when I hit harshness on the road, I could definitely feel it more. LT tires I guess. It's not at all awful, it's just there. MPG is down about 1.2 mpg but in my experience tires break in and mpg can get better with a few more miles. Edited: Yes, I lost 1.2 mpg, which is fine. To be clear I had stock sized tires before, so this isn't a jab against the AT4s, just oversized LT tires in general have these characteristics. The At4s handle better as well. Maybe it's the stiffer sidewall? They feel less wallow-ey in the turns. The AT4s do have a very mild low vibration at about 45 mph but then they smooth out perfectly by 70 mph. Compared to the previous Recons the AT4s feel amazing. The tires are totally quiet to my ears. I hear nothing at all from the tires. Edited: These tires ride really, really well. Very happy with them.

I have a speedo adjust on my Livernois Tuner. DT told me the new tires rpm was 587 (about 2.5% off), Falken told me the rpm was 600 (about 1.5% off). I ended up setting the Revs-per-Mile at 609 as a recall and they had the speedo dead on with a GPS phone app. I guess technically as tires wear the needed revs would need to be increased to stay accurate?

One thing I will say is the DT guys here in the thread quoted me my AT4s and I placed an $800 DP on the tires right then and ordered them at my local dealer. The tires took about 14 weeks to arrive as it was a new size which was fine by me. Once they arrived my truck was in the body shop getting a new front bumper so it took me another couple of weeks to get in. Well when I went to ring out they (my local DT) hit me with a price about $450 higher than my printed quote that I had placed the deposit on. When I complained they acknowledged that the tires had increased in price considerably since I had ordered them. They were able to 'price match' (strange term since they were matching the price they gave me that I ordered at) the tires but not the Road Hazard so I still ended up with about a $100 increase from my ordered price.

On edit: After a few thousand miles mpg has settled at 19.0 mpg for all around driving. So, I lost 1 mpg compared to the stock sized Recons. Not bad at all I'd say, and I remain very pleased with these tires.

I love the look and ride of the new AT4s and was unhappy with my previous Recons for several reasons. The Recons were actually lumpy feeling on cold mornings, had a ton of what looked like cracks between the treads (at only 1 year old and about 23K miles). They were also already down to 7/ 32s. Since I drive like a grandpa, I typically get oddly long tire intervals and even wear, but not with those Recons.

Pictures require more extreme tires to really pop, but in person my truck looks just perfect to my eyes. Like a mini, not overdone, sophisticated Tonka truck. Love it!

One thing I'm eager to test is wet weather traction. I live off a 2-lane country road that on rainy mornings is quite slippery and it can be a challenge to pull out of my neighborhood and accelerate before the traffic catches up. Doesn't help that it's uphill when I pull out. Now the Recons were pretty amazing in this regard honestly, so much better than the stock Hankooks which were frightening at times. But still, it was safer to engage AWD before attempting a pull out because sometimes I really struggled to get going without TC engaging and shutting off power to the truck. These tires due to their size and quality, I expect will take right off in 2wd even with aggressive use of the throttle on wet days. UPDATE * It's been pouring rain today and I was able to test heavy throttle usage with these tires (so not really a test of sideways traction or hydroplaning) in 2wd. The AT4s don't have as much wet weather traction as the Recons did. The Recons seemed to have a very soft rubber compound so this isn't entirely unpredictable. That said they did very well. Honestly the Recons were wild in the rain. I could hammer on the throttle half sideways in 2wd and they would just hook up and go, but I think this also why they wore so poorly and felt flatspotted after sitting on a cold morning. That said, the At4s are more than adequate in slippery road conditions, but I'll probably continue to engage AWD when pulling out of my 'hood on wet mornings.

My truck has a 2.5" leveling kit and in a rough parking lot with the wheel turned I rubbed on something. Not enough to worry about.

I do wish the tire manufacturers offered all of their sizes in different weight ratings for my application. (i.e. mall crawler).

I have had pretty much every brand of new or fancy tire in the last 25 years of driving trucks.
I loved my last set of tires. 285/70r17 Lt E tires on my 2011 F150 5.0. They were honestly the absolute best tires I had ever had. Great in the dirt. Great on the highway. Awesome in snow. Just all around the best tire. I got 64,000 miles out of them completely trouble free. No through punctures. I caught a nail one time and it didn’t even make it through the radial belts. They still had 3/16ths of tread. I only rotated tires every 8-10000 miles.
So when I went and bought my Used 21 F150 with an eco boost 3.5 and it had snow tires on it I knew what needed to happen.
I found out the at3w tires were discontinued. So I moved on to the at4w tires. I bought 285/65r20 lt E tires.
While I am not disappointed there are some large differences that I am not as satisfied with as I could be.
The 4w has lost the stone ejectors of the 3w. This matters more to those who spend time in the dirt as it keeps the tires from clinging to small pebbles and throwing them into your paint and fenders.
It is not as good in the rain or snow and ice as the 3w. Not sure what they did. It’s not as good.
Positives. It is quieter going down the road. We will have to see if it has the same longevity. Sorry for the long ramble but these are my thoughts. Now for the gratuitous pics of the 21 on fox 2.5s and icon rear leaf springs.

285/70/18

Works really well. I am getting a little rub in reverse, full lock hitting bumps. I think I need to just zip tie the bottoms of my fender liners.

Anyone go from Toyo ATIII's to these that can comment? Saw one user say they're comparable, but I've seen a wide range of opinions out there about these. Mostly interested in on-road performance/noise/comfort.
