If you are stepping up to a LT load range E tire, yes your mileage will suffer. That adds 15-20 lbs per tire. All the tires I saw in 275/70 R18 were LT’s.

Got it. So these would be what I'd want to avoid being in an E tire(I've also heard the E tires have worse ride quality?).

Hopefully the 275/65's don't look too small. I was leaning toward these Michelin's as I've heard they ride really well. I do think the 275/70's will look better.

I can't decide between the Sport 18" Wheel or Sport 20" Wheel. I am the Sales Manager for a Ford store and I am in control of ordering so I ordered two identical trucks, one with the 18" wheel and 20" wheel. I am hoping some people on here are planning on running a more aggressive tire with their stock wheels. If any of you out there plan on doing this please post pictures on this thread. I am hoping it will help me make a decision before I have to make my own decision...Thank you in advance!

I am a big fan of the HDPP 18" wheels . I have the 20" chrome on my 2021 rcsb FX4,but saw a Silver Lariat with the HDPP 18" wheels and they look awsome. You just dont see that many of them IMO

I did find a 275/70 R18 that is not an LT. It is the general grabber that Ford puts on the Tremors. 46 lbs per tire so it won’t kill your gas mileage. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...3!537118804928!!!u!293946777986!&gclsrc=aw.ds
The Michelin’s at 40 lbs will definitely do better in that regard but just a tad smaller in looks.

So if I am 95% highway driving with occasional 3k lb travel trailer towing, do I want 116 load index michelix defender ltx m/s tires or do I want the heavier E rated 123 tires? Kind of confused here but leaning toward putting these on my 18" sport wheels. Just not sure if I want the E rated ones which are heavier and supposedly ride worse but are better for towing. Not sure if that applies to my light trailer as well. Prob gonna just go with the stock 275/65/18's.

The E rated tire would be an overkill for your anticipated usage. Most of the folks that step up to E rated tires are pulling trailers cross country with 500-800+ lbs tongue weight with a weight distribution hitch and airbags. Standard tires are going to be just fine for you.

Leveled on 34 with Stock 18s. NO rubbing or Trimming.
2" Level but still about 1.5" of rake.
295/70/18 Load E (34.3). Tires alone are 63 LBS ea. Stock Tires were 37 LBS
These are the 18s that come with the non sport base lariat trim.
Larger wheel causes Speedo, Miles to E and MPG to be understated by 5.6%. I have estimated MPG loss of about 1 MPG.

Any guess as to the size of these tires on the factory lariat 18" wheels? I'm considering trying to get this look.

A lot of the 275/60R20 tires are 32.99" diameter. The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 275/60R20 SL (115T) spec shows 33.4" on their website.

Can anyone confirm they are indeed 33.4"?

I like the idea of being slightly larger than the factory 20s and still be under 50#s per tire (I do not tow heavy).

look into the 295/60/20...will fill in the fender gap a little more and you wont have any rubbing at stock height. These New F-150's allow for aggressive tires without touching the suspension! Good luck and post some pics!

Without doing a lift, are you saying there is no rub offroad too?

Check out the Cooper Rugged Trek's too. They are like 33.5". A few posts on here on a stock truck.
