While an older thread....I will say I've started seeing this on my 2021 PB. 10k and the outer edges are wearing way more than I think they should. Is this just a shoddy 400 treadwear rating OEM tire? I've also got the Hancooks as well.

I have a 2021 Powerboost Platinum F-150 with exactly the same issue. No problem found. I have already replaced one tire at 25k and the other three are going fast at 31,000. Got to be the tires! I have a Ford Master Mechanic checking my alignment at every oil change now. My plan is to replace with Michelin tires and continue to have alignment checks after every oil change. What other option do I have?

I've got the same exact truck. That's my plan as well, go with a set of Michelin Defenders. Just insulting to pay so much for a truck and the tires are already shot at 15k.

Same issues. I just put on some BFG Trail Terrain w/ nitrogen instead of air. 25,000 miles on the HanKooks. I think that tire is crap.

This whole thread makes me wonder if the powerboost should have different alignment specs than the other trims. Maybe due to the added weight of the hybrid components? I don't really know, but it doesn't sound like a tire or driver issue to me

Does anyone have alignment specs for the 2021+ F-150's? Is there a different from trim to trim, model to model?

FWIW I have a 21 powerboost but have the Michelin Primacy XC tires. 20k miles and zero issues with wear.

Most OEM tires are absolute shit when it comes to tread life. Put 18K miles on my 20 Ranger and with the Firestone Dualers on it 35 PSI, rotated every 3K and perfect alignment. Tires were at 5/32 at the time of trade in. Basically you're doing good if you manage to get more than 25K on a set of factory tires.

No - just appropriately sized springs and proper damping front and rear.

Hankooks are the worst! The only tires that I took off of a brand new vehicle were two of my previous F150s. Both my 2018 and 2020 had them. I switched to Michelin Defenders and it was look a whole new driving/handling experience. My 21 PB Lariat has 20” Pirelli Scorpions and at 20k miles , they are showing normal wear. While not as good as the Defenders, they are the best rubber that I got out of the 4 new trucks I’ve owned since 2015. They will be replaced by Defenders too when the time comes.
