I don't think Ford will cover a 03 Chevy S10....Hey will ford send a reminder before the basic warranty expires? I plan to purchase the extended warranty before it expires, if I keep it beyond that.

You can get it now because it starts the day the truck was first delivered. It's call In Service Date. Just do the math.....
#of miles/year × # of years of planned ownership = term of ESP & MILEAGE
So, that is the flim flam on extended warranty. The call it a 5 year warranty but it is just two added years at $1000/yr. ( or how ever the numbers play out)I don't think Ford will cover a 03 Chevy S10....

Pretty much... but if you're only adding 2 years... not worth it. Truck has a 5yr,60k power traln anyway.. It's more for guys like me that only put 6000 miles a year on our trucks. I went with a 10yr/100k mile Esp, at that time it was $3300 Cdn. So warranty cost is $471.00 per year. Less than $40 a month. Cheap maintenance cost. So, that is the flim flam on extended warranty. Yea, I have 93k miles on a KRPB I bought in June ‘21. I always get to the miles way before the time.Hey will ford send a reminder before the basic warranty expires? I plan to purchase the extended warranty before it expires, if I keep it beyond that.

Just get the official Ford National Premium Care ESP from either Flood or Granger. My 2023 bumper to bumper expires this week. Which company have you found that is the best coverage for the money?
Bought the plan from Grainger Ford.Just get the official Ford National Premium Care ESP from either Flood or Granger.
You are not required to use Ford oil and filters to maintain the warranty. Yes, Ford Protect is the same. Get it from Flood or Granger. It is national and can be bought and/or used at any Ford dealer.I barely do 2kmi / year on the truck. Probably more after I retire and tow the track car around. Got it last used year (2022 Lariat 502A w/3.5 Eco) w/36kmi.
I typically do 100% work myself. Slightly concerned about potential warranty issues so I will use all Ford products (oil & filters). Am very concerned about all the electronics on the truck. Have never considered an extended warranty in the past.
I just got a mailing for Ford Protect (no prices listed) but am considering it. Is that provided by Ford & dealerships? Can I go to any dealership? Will it be a battle over things they'll find that aren't covered by the extended warranty? Is Ford National Premium Care ESP something different than Ford Protect?
Thanks!
