I'm going to install some LED trailer lights using the 7-pin connector on my 2022 F150 Lariat. The LED's have separate wires for Tail, Brake, Blinker, and Backup lights. The 7-pin uses combined stop / turn wiring.
Anyone have schematics for a DIY converter? How about a recommended converter...
I barely do 2kmi / year on the truck. Probably more after I retire and tow the track car around. Got it last used year (2022 Lariat 502A w/3.5 Eco) w/36kmi.
I typically do 100% work myself. Slightly concerned about potential warranty issues so I will use all Ford products (oil & filters)...
Was able to do it with a 5/16" dowel .... until it broke. Then changed to a fiberglass snow stake (about the same diameter). It was packed!
Have only owned the truck for a short time but thats BS. Seals on the side and a seal on the bottom (open just enough on the bottom to fish the dowel...
Ah, I have one of those fan things!
Need to mount some kind of deflector to block off the majority of the opening w/o scratching the cab. Maybe a flexible strip that attaches to the cab and bed with double sided tape.
Anyone have a good way to clean out the leaves that get trapped between the bed and cab of the truck?
Leaf blower and garden hose wouldn't do it. Driving down the highway won't blow them out. Thinking I might try sliding some rope down.
Any products out there to seal off the top of that gap...
Looking for additional brackets similar to four factory ones in the bed of the truck, that can be installed instead of the Box Link plates?
My 2022 Lariat doesn't have the Box Link plates. Really only want a simple bracket that mounts using two of the four plate bolts.
Thanks!
Rob
I saw an article talking about 22V686 which replaces a module related to flickering parking lights. When I search the Ford recall page for my truck (2022 3.5EB Lariat) it comes up with 23C36/23V802 and says recall incomplete. I've also read on the forum about 22V686.
I purchased my truck...
I have a relative the swears by Woolwax. Does it himself. Only downside he has mentioned is that you get filthy if you have to work on anything thats been coated.
I just recently got my 2022 F150. Love that the body is aluminum. Rust is my fear. My old truck (2008 Silverado) had so much...
No issues since.
Yep, had an issue with brand new Corvette back in 1988. Car would start doing weird things while driving and even shut off. Dealership couldn't duplicate or find the problem. Kept saying I didn't know how to drive it. I kept saying its obviously a computer issue. Filed a...
I purchased it from the same dealership as the previous owner. Looks like they had done a full reset. Auto updates was turned on. No issues with it today.
They did supply a carfax. It showed regular maintenance, headlight recall, and in prep for sale: rear shocks replaced, wiper motor...
ok, cool. Good to know its probably a non-event. I'll look into the OTA history. Hopefully OTA update isn't something I turned off when going through all the settings.
Thanks for the reset command! I'll keep that in mind if it happens again.
Thanks
Rob
Hi Everyone,
Just got my first Ford last Thursday: 2022 F150 Lariat, 3.5EB, 502A. I love it! Can't believe how quiet the interior is, lots of power, and better gas mileage than I was expecting. Having fun trying to learn all stuff it has. They should offer a class. Its just out of...
