Did anyone else get the email this morning stating secure alert would be no longer working after 15 may 2023
Does that explain why I started getting them intermittently a couple of months ago? Usually they were way after the fact of the door being open so much so that a thief would be long gone before I would even have a chance to shoot and scare him.

Just got a message in fordpass but still no email. I enjoy how they are framing it as a preview ending and not a feature they are removing. Clever.

It is interesting Ford phrased it that way. Nothing in my Ford Pass would give that impression.

A couple of weeks ago, I activated it via the truck. It then started to drive me crazy with so many "security alerts". I finally disengaged it in the truck.

I will not miss it.

No email, no alerts and no updates for me.
Good to know it was a "preview". Idiots.

Got my Ford pass notice last night, but no email. It's a shame, because I did use securiAlert when we traveled, even though it was getting wonky with notifying you when a door was opened.

As far as I'm concerned, Ford's reputation for honesty and trustworthiness is out the window, considering the rate at which "features" come and go and work/don't work.
There's no way this particular feature was a "preview". it was marketed as a feature.

To clarify, the securialert notifications are just that a door opened, not that an alarm was triggered?

I had it alert me when rhe alarm was triggered, usually when the truck was locked with the dog inside. I have to set motion detection to off when she rides along.

I told everyone this was happening, but no one believed me. ;-)
I can't prove it, but I bet the vast majority, even those that held out hope that you were wrong, still believed you. Reluctantly even.

Just another "Carrot" that Ford dangled in front of the horse, hoping to sell it.
For me, I am still pissed I couldn't get Sirius/XM radio and the Navigation package, although a few months later it came on the wife's Bronco sport.

If someone breaks in you will get notified immediately..
Accidentally triggering by unlocking and get in is different.

It wasn't accidently triggering. It was just opening the door even if unlocked. And it wasn't consistent. Sometimes it would do it other times nothing. Sometimes as soon as opening the door other times like I said it would be minutes later and I'd get the alert that your door has been opened.
