edit to my above post, looks like Motorcraftservice.com updated in the last two hours and the links to helminc have disappeared. Now you can buy subscription to all 4 (FDRS, FJDS, IDS, and Ford Diag) for the prices below, which does us Gen 14 owners no good but a shop owner may like it. Your subscription can be on 3 separate computers as well, again not much use for us (they threaten those who steal by sharing login in the communications).

2 day is $120,
30 day is $300,
1 year is $1200.

I would try to uninstall FDRS, restart laptop and reinstall FDRS to see if that helps.

Tried that a few times, still the same error. Also tried switching wifi networks and tethered to my phone, still get the same error. If I hit the "network diagnostics" button, everything passes. I also tried the "Non-Dealer ETIS" in the dropdown options and get an authentication error there too.

Thank you for finding an answer for me man. The thing is is that FORD CORPORATE is the one that paid to have THIS apim put in. A dealership here bricked my original apim. Then I went to another dealership and had this one put in. This shit is one thing after another and honestly not worth my time. Wish I never would have bought this piece of shit.

I need to know how to explain to her that my truck is still not right. She is aware that the dealership installed this new apim in my truck and that I had to do all of the updating since the dealership wasnt capable of doing so. I want to explain to her that the truck wont take the next update and i need some help explaining why…

Yesterday Ford changed how this is done. So they were going through and updating all of their servers so you might’ve been caught up in that. It also appears you need to go to motorcraftservice.com and buy the subscription first before you can login but I don’t know cuz I haven’t tried it. It’s all new.

There is no way to explain it to them. They need to contact Ford TAC (Technical Assistance Team) so they can verify the corrupted partition in the APIM and either fix it (if they can) or authorize another replacement of the APIM. If your truck is with them now, leave it until next week so I can tell my contact it is there and maybe he can get involved in your case directly. Your service advisor and technician (as good as they may be) are not software engineers and do not have the tools and resources TAC has. They will not be able to verify this without the hotline's assistance.

So I got my mongoose and my laptop. On Thursday evening,I was getting everything set up by the instructions at the beginning of this thread as in “to set up the mongoose, click here” and “to download FDRS, click here”. I wasn’t sure which download I needed so I didn’t download anything, but I did set up my motorcraft account. Now with the changes I’m seeing here…. Is there something else I need to do to get set up? Also for the motorcraft account, I didn’t have the choice of non dealer, but there was a choice of DIY. That’s the one I used. Is that correct? I was thinking maybe things on the site had changed since the instructions were done in 2022? Help lol

Ghurst, things on the FDRS site changed yesterday. Really, none of us know exactly how the new login goes. It could be finicky before, God only knows now. It would often not work on Sunday as they did maintenance. If I were you, I’d wait a week or two before I bought the now $120 two day subscription and let Ford figure out their servers which have to sync with your new subscription and maybe by then people will have tried the login and there‘ll be new gouge on how to do it. Otherwise, if you decide to take the plunge, please post how it went as we don’t know yet exactly. We need some “guinea pigs” to try it.

I’m also guessing that all the dealerships and all the legit car garages had to move over to this new subscription method so the FDRS software support is likely completely overwhelmed.

Were you able to get there through the FDRS login or did you go to a different url? I get login and network errors through FDRS even though it passes the network test. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, different computer, different wifi, still no luck.
