I wouldn't sell your cable (Mongoose I assume?). FDRS can come in handy for repairs and troubleshooting problems, it's not just for software updates. Literally everything in these modern vehicles are controlled by computer modules, FDRS allows you to access them.

ForScan changes here from the Lightning forum. Verify with the spreadsheet and your current settings first, and make a backup before changing anything.

Subscription instructions here. Purchase subscription first, then go to FDRS and log in. The same login & password for the subscription and FDRS.

Yup, once you purchase your subscription you can log in to FDRS. It all links in the background.
