Just my luck lol. When you rolled you back did you still keep the BC 1.4 features?

Yes, the previous version is essentially the same and has the majority of improvements over every version before it.

Most legit auto repair shops do NOT use a Mongoose. Most use much more expensive J-boxes that support far more than just a subset of vehicles from one brand. But those have to be kept updated as well (firmware on the device itself). Those cost a TON off dollars to purchase and update. I'm pretty sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, though ...
You'd be surprised. I have helped a ton of private repair shops fix vehicles they botched from using something other than a Mongoose.

Might be time to put up a warning about PowerBoosts updating to this IPMA. At this point the only way to fix it is to roll back
I did, but it got lost somewhere in the 1000 pages on this thread.

I got your message. There is no way for me to confirm what I think happened without being able to plug into your truck with FDRS myself. However, based on what I see in vehicle history and the errors you are getting, the shop bricked your IPMA by trying to update the modules with a tool that is not supported by Ford. They most likely did not know any better. You can fix it yourself, but you will need a Mongoose cable and FDRS. Due to the nature of your problem, I can move you to the front of the line to borrow one of mine. Link to the Mongoose loaner thread is in my signature and I do have one now that I can send to you. You will need a $100 battery power supply from Amazon, a 2-day license to FDRS will cost you $50 and a windows based laptop to fix it along with the Mongoose. You can borrow one of mine, or buy your own which costs $600.

Or take it to a Ford dealer who has the right tool and they can fix it, but not sure what they would charge you to do so.

My truck showed all those similar faults on the dash also when my computer went to sleep in the middle of the IPMA update. I thought for sure it destroyed something but doing a PMI brought everything back to my relief.

PMI is exactly what the doctor ordered here, imo.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have successfully updated my 2022 PB Platinum to BlueCruise 1.4 and tested it. Took it on I-65 and worked just fine and auto lane change is amazing. Here is a summary of what I had to do:

1) Did all FDRS updates by getting a 2 day FDRS license from Ford and using my Mongoose cable. I had about 15 module updates to do which took about 5 hours overall. I was not able to do the BCM update because it requires a password. I did the ACM and PSCM updates successfully, but they continued to show in the list of modules to update. I do not have a fancy battery charger with power supply mode, but I made sure my X2 Power battery was fully charged and used a normal 15 amp battery charger. I never saw the battery voltage in FDRS fall below 12.6v.

2) I contacted @rugedraw via DM and he provided me with a list of Forscan updates needed. There are 2 APIM updates and 4 IPMA updates needed that I did with Forscan with a free 2 month extended trial license. I backed up both the APIM and IPMA modules as described in the Forscan tutorial first.

3) I then was able to go to the driver assistance area in features and saw the new options to set for in-lane repositioning and automatic lane change etc.

The Mongoose Plus is made by Opus IVS. I've been friends with a guy for 28 years who was with Opus IVS for nearly 21 years, his last position being thier Director of Mfg Operations. Small world.

Is FDRS down right now? I can login with the same credentials on the motorcraftservice website so credentials are correct.

You have Sync version 24127, basically dated the 127 day of 2024. About 6 May ‘24. That’s the version I’m on too. I think there’s at least one newer version, maybe two. But, I’m not sure if each new Sync version applies to every F150 model (year and (powerboost vs non powerboost) and (bluecruise vs non bluecruise)) or not, I haven’t been able to figure out that logic yet.
Pretty sure there is nothing newer than Sync 1270 as of today.
