Just finished a mass 3hr update to the latest IPMA module, in anticipation of the newest BC version. One word of wisdom (perhaps others have run into this) is to turn OFF your wipers (not on intermittent even) before doing this update...

Once the truck shut down to do it's module clearing and programming, the wipers kicked on for some reason, and it was no longer responding to rotation and off settings from the stalk. Had to leave the wipers running for 3 hours and deal with it! A little water from time to time made the sound less annoying!

I recently updated all the modules since 4.2.1 on my truck in FDRS following this very helpful guide. Thank you everyone.

I have been up since 6am and did about 20 updates. After the test drive and doing everything but BCM, I have a PCM and SCCM DCT. I have rerun and reset numerous times and also tried forscan.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please? The IPMA will be green most of the time like it is now.

I got these for a while too, not sure why and or how they disappeared but haven't seen them lately. I would clear them and then sometimes they came back, others they stayed off. I don't seem to have them now. You ever chase it down?

Yeah, that is a thing.
Do the shortest update in list first because anything you forget like that will be stuck!
I did that thankfully on a 10 minute update last month. ?

Yeah, without a hood open and charging cables draped across, I probably would have tried to intervene a little more..

How does this relate to OTA updates? Whole reason I did the FDRS route was that I had a "stuck" OTA update I couldn't get to complete: 23-PU0630-YAW-RT

I updated everything available in FDRS, minus BCM, I was expecting the PCM update to wipe my tune and to get the new "extended" battery range - which doesn't appear to have happened. Refreshing updates on FDRS shows nothing but the aforementioned BCM and APM updates.

ACM not coming off the list is a known issue. BCM asking for a password, too. You did everything you could do and you're fully up to date except for the BCM. You will get it OTA eventually.

Long time lurker here but first time posting.
Have a Job 1 XLT 302A with the blank version and revision numbers. Have never received any OTAs, cannot toggle on auto-update.
Finally borrowed a mongoose cable in order to push these updates. Was able to get a dozen or so updates pushed through FDRS, but stuck at the infamous APIM. Tried out 2 different USB sticks, truck hasn’t taken it in over 3 weeks.
Tried to do TSB 22-2404 myself, gave me the error that my VIN is locked out on the 1st try (see picture). Took it to the dealership, they got the same error. They told me that they were still able to update my APIM to the latest version using the USB (see before and after pic), but asked me to come back in 20 days to attempt the TSB again, as the issue is still there.
Wanted to see if the experts have any other opinion. Is there any truth to what the dealership is saying? Am I staring at an APIM replacement here?

The dealer did not update the APIM as they claimed. I can see the failed attempts and PTS shows the Sync version is still the broken 20301 software.

If FDRS is allowing you to make the USB update, all you can do is leave it in the turck and go on about your business until the update decides to go through. It can take longer than a few weeks for this to happen based on the experiences of others that been successful doing what you are trying to do. It is important to know that this does not always work. Based on the several attempts that have been made to update the APIM, that APIM may be locked now and un-update-able.

Ah bummer. I had feared so. I’ll leave the USB in there and see what happens.

There are fellas that it took longer than 3 weeks.
I'm an optimist. It's going to suddenly just kick off and your APIM will escape Purgatory. ?

Lol, mine took 4 weeks! I was ready to give up. Then one night driving home from work I stopped at a red light, looked over at the screen and BOOM ! It said update installed.
