I've still got an issue with my MY23 truck even after applying all available updates minus the password protected BCM.

After a few minutes of turning the engine off, there are loud but brief and periodic static/discharge popping noises coming from my B&O Unleashed speakers. Lasts for about a minute or two and then the truck seems to go into a deeper sort of sleep and it stops.

Any thoughts on what to do? Maybe redo the DSP update or initialize the DSP module? It didn't happen before applying a DSP update about 6-8 months ago.
You can try to PMI the DSP. This is strange. It does it every time you turn the truck off?

Could try the full system reset too. You'll have to pair any phones again, relink FordPass, and reset all your settings in center screen. Someone else had weird audio issues recently and that managed to fix it.

Hey all,
Hoping someone can help me out. Trying to log in to FDRS (for first time). Was able to activate license, but I keep getting this error when logging in. Am I doing something wrong or is FDRS down for everyone?

Double check that your laptop is connected to internet to rule that out. Weekends can be weird with FDRS but the issues usually fall on Sundays.

Thanks for the reply. I did some more reading in this thread and stepped down to 40.5 and was able to login and run updates.

A couple questions:
- I saw the note about ACM update not dropping from the list after update, which happened to me as well. However, same thing happened with PDM, which I ran like 4 times and its still showing up. Any thoughts?
- Went to start the IPMA and it complained that my Battery SoC was around 52% even with a battery charger (10A) connected, but my other app reported it over 70%. If I have a 10A battery charger connected while running the update, am I good? Or do I really need FDRS to report over 70%?
- My charger has options for 2A trickle, 10A quick and 50A rapid charge. Will I hurt anything if I use the 50A setting?

You did connect your charger / power supply after the BMS correct?
Never directly on negative battery terminal. Truck can't see battery power flow if you go directly to battery.

How does your voltage look?
If voltage is holding 12V+ on your 10A then I would do the update, but you have to remember it takes about 4 hours. Your battery voltage needs to be staying up the whole time. If there are any doubts then address your SOC issue first.

Yep, connected it to the ground connection near the headlight like the picture linked in post 1 showed. Voltage was above 12 the entire time I was running the other updates. Charger showed it was charging (vs charged).

Probably safe but as stated IPMA takes forever. I'd let truck charge overnight then do the BMS reset tomorrow. See if that changes value for FDRS. The messages you get are warnings so you don't do something dumb. If truck is totally running off external power the SOC doesn't matter as much in my opinion.

This issue happens with my truck as well. There’s always popping and static sounds through my speakers when the truck is turned off. This started for me last summer with the DSP update. I tried to get the dealer to fix it for nearly a year and then my warranty ran out.

It has nothing to do with the DSP, it's the APIM or ACM doing this. I've removed my DSP and it still does it.

The turn on signal coming from the ACM or APIM either via the enable/clip detect, or the bus telling it to turn on and off every 15 seconds or so.

I have had apim issues with my truck since about 6k miles. I suspect I get my chimes coming from the IPC instead of stereo speakers because the apim doesn’t always boot up in time.

Did a marathon session yesterday. Started at 11 am went till 130 in the morning(not by choice). Decided to tackle an apim update first, labeled my USB drive as sync all lower letters and loaded it up(don’t buy a cheap one takes way to long) then got usb error when trying to load to apim. Found the tech bulletin about deleting voice whatever and did that and was finally able to load it. Did 3 APIM,3 tcu and 3 gwm updates, then decided to try some of the shorter ones did fine until I did the PSCM module which I did not know would force(wasn’t for sure if I could just cancel)me to do the IPMA module as well 3 hours later I could go to bed.

I have a question concerning the CRM module update(another really long one), As it was wrapping up, right before it sends info back to ford, FDRS just randomly closed. I checked history and it said that I opened the update but didn’t do anything. CRM update is not showing as an option anymore. Do I need to redo this one somehow? (Run PMI)

If the truck is fine and you are not showing any codes, then no need to worry about it. Is the module green in FDRS? If so, then it went through. Send me your VIN and I can check what version it is on.

If you are showing codes at the CMR, then a PMI would be the way to fix it. Just make sure you select "no" when FDRS asks if it is the original module.

Can you also check to see why I don’t have any IPC updates? Thank you
