I had the exact same experience and did the update over canbus. I hooked the truck up to a charger and let the update run over night. Worked perfectly and any update requiring the USB drive has worked smoothly.Excellent. Will give this a try over the canbus.

This my list of modules that currently needing updated, thanks to a member in the VIN check thread. I finally got everything needed to be able to do it myself and I am going to try to get it done this weekend. @Jesse-Infotainment can you or anyone with the knowledge advise me of which of these I should start with first? I know that after some of them have been updated, more could show up. Also, I am completely new to FDRS. Thanks in advance for any advise/help.
those updates are all unrelated, you can do them in any order. BCm and IPC are the big ones. Once you do those two it will unlock more. I would probably do them last so the least is clear when new ones start showing up.![]()

It either works or it doesn't. If it fails more than once, I would not waste any more time and just take the long route. Make sure whatever USB you use has a short name like "sync" or 'ford".Thanks for all the heads up guys. Are people still having issues with the IPC update not working through the USB method? Any pointers or tips to make that work? From what I have read that is the fastest way correct?
And if you start in the morning, a shot of Baileys in the coffee works well or start in the afternoon a shot of Crown Royal Peach in ice tea is a great one also.It either works or it doesn't. Is this the Can bus method? https://www.tsbsearch.com/Ford/22-2150I just did my IPC yesterday. It errored out with USB stick but worked through the can bus. But it did take forever( about 5 hours).
You would download the usb files, put them on a USB drive then remove and plug that drive into the USB port on the truck. So you would be fine. Will I need two usb ports on my laptop for the usb method? One for the mongoose and one for the flash drive? My laptop only has one usb on it.
