@DrTone lert me know when you do it so I can verify it made the correct changes
Yep called to make my appointment and was told I don't understand your truck shows no updates available. I told them that is because it has never been updated, its broken take a look at TSB 22-2404. They then say ok well we are not sure what we can do since it says no updates available, you can bring it in and we can look at it.standing at the dealership now… they’re refusing to do anything because “everything is up to date”. Gave them all the info everyone provided here, but I’m just a stupid customer.
Ok PMI completed, let me know if all is well.@DrTone lert me know when you do it so I can verify it made the correct changes

How can Ford just sit back and ignore a 600 page thread with 9000 replies. I can't imagine how many owners have no idea they will NEVER get an update unless they do it themselves at a cost of $800 and 8-10 hours of time?
Is this class action territory?
I agree to a point. To be clear, I do not think anything around legal action would yield any results in this case. I DID however file a lemon law suit when I first had my truck because the dealership updated my truck when I took delivery, and it bricked my heated seats and rear defrost for several months. After a settlement, and months of waiting, they were able to fix it.Don't take this wrong, but the fellas that have been following this thread since the day Iceman started it have witnessed posts like yours countless times.
Your dismay is stage 1 of the realization of the dilemma.
Many continue to progress to the next stage, and the next, and eventually to the one often described as "taking matters into their own hands"
The time it takes to get to that stage varies amongst members, but eventually the whole thing is behind them and their trucks are whole.
To be honest, I find the whole thing as liberating. Literally. Liberated FROM being subject to the dealership's willingness or capacity.
does anyone know how important the PCM update is ? I am up to date through 22PU-1009Shouldn't really matter. The PCM update will also kick off 1-2 other updates at the same time.
PCM updates are updates to the module most responsible for the drivability of the vehicle. It's the proverbial brain of the engine and transmission management of the drivetrain.does anyone know how important the PCM update is ? I am up to date through 22PU-1009
what does the PCM update add ?
