They could at least hook us up with cheap licenses for all the work we're saving them lol.
and a complimentary mongoose adapter ! in exchnage we can train the dealers.

This sure shows Ford has done a sh job training techs on FDRS. They are not close to ready for the increase in sales of these new platforms w OTAs. I for one will NEVER buy another Ford. Ever.

That'll be great! But also heard @Ford Motor Company was a bot.... maybe Alexa under the hood?
I messaged them to ask if in the future if we could use Ford pass rewards to pay for Blue Cruise. The account is monitored by a Ford Social media Specialist that relays information. They directed me to call ford to ask my question

After more than 8 days at my dealership, I was told this afternoon that my screen is black and no longer working. They have tried many times to update with no luck. As of now they're not sure what the solution is and are waiting for guidance from Ford. I'm assuming they have "bricked" the system. Any ideas on a resolution? I am going out tomorrow to pick up a loaner car.

You mean the dealers failed to train their technicians...

Having an issue with my last update of IPC failing. It never see's the USB Double check format and retried 3 times failed every time. Anybody else seeing this lately =? Did you do the Can bus and if so did it take more then 3 hours via Can bus?

Yep, same here. 6+ hrs for my IPC via CAN with a VCM II. I tried and tried to make USB work, never would take. All other updates via USB were fine.

I will not let the skill set of the dealership service department stop me from having the truck that I prefer by a very wide margin.
If I was indifferent, that would be different admittedly. But both of the Powerboost trucks I've brought home have no equal in the 1/2 ton arena. Not even close. (subjective opinion, of course)

Besides, I came across this thread almost the moment it was started. So the dealership technicians training level no longer affects me.

So the can bus worked for you? Also had you ever made any changes to the IPC module prior to this update?

I will wait till tomorrow night to try the can bus route. I don't have 6 more hours tonight to do it.

Yep, took forever and a stable power supply connected to chassis ground is a must. No, I had never made any changes to the IPC prior. (no FORScan or other tinkering on any modules in fact)

Ok thank you for the input. Ya I guess after doing nearly 8 hours worth of updates what's another 6 hours. I will do it tomorrow evening . And yes this whole process would be imposable with out the power supply.
