You mean some guy on the internet got you fixed up when the ford engineers couldn’t. Do tell. Not sure what number that is for the guy on the internet that dealers say you can’t listen to.

BlueCruise is working! The new GWM update that came today did it! Thanks to @Jesse-Infotainment for your support and special thanks to my dealer Folsom Lake Ford who did their best to get it going but had it one day too little for the new GWM update.

I tried it three times and keep getting the error

Makes sense .. the update problem you had was due to new updates. The update config was what I was wanting to have run. Glad you’re all fixed ! You had a good dealer !

Why are these Sync 4 displays different? One obviously shows Alexa but notice the temps in each upper corner. Is this the difference between a job 1 and job 2 Sync 4 display?

Yeah.. 22 have the AC temps at top. They did away with the LCD displays on the HVAC controls. You cant turn them on in JOB1 trucks. I tried. I havent with the newest software yet since I dont have it. The JOb 1 and Job2/2022 software is pretty different.

The adventure begins on my 21 PowerBoost Job 1 Platinum. Truck received PowerUp 2.3.0 in February. I am in EAP but waitlisted.

I work for ALLDATA and asked our diagnostics lead if we had a Mongoose before I ordered one. We didn’t but we had a Ford VCM 2 laying around that I was able to borrow. Even better! Updated the firmware and started the process this morning. So far, so good. Running a MacTools maintainer that will hold voltage at 12.9v and above.

I enjoyed doing the updates! I got to know my truck a lot better and got that “purchase” excitement again now that all the updates are done. We are rooting for you!

I think the title of this thread could be misleading. When I saw ECU programming, I scrolled right through because I didn’t want to mess with the brains of the truck, but if the title was “Tired of waiting for Ford to give you Blue Cruise, step on in”. It’s funny how people are on the EAP waitlist and still waiting for Ford to push that magical OTA update but little do they know what other updates are tied to the process. I am grateful of looking at this thread as seeing that you do not have to be in EAP or only Job 2 / 2022 trucks get Blue Cruise. I have learned a new skill in FDRS that I have ever thought I would be involved with and now it will help me enjoy my 70k purchase a lot longer.

I've had both and while I agree it is busy up there, those are also touchscreen shortcuts to what they represent. So it's a nice navigation aid.
