ECU module programming guide using FDRS

The service manual showed multiple fuses for the USB ports but I am not at work anymore to screen shot it for you.

Maybe someone can guide me in the right direction, it would be nice if that’s the only thing wrong with it!

Stick it in the usb slot in the console instead and see what it does. Could get lucky...

Looks like there isn’t a fuse for that then….

Sadly it doesn’t….. that’s why I was asking about a two sided drive if I couldn’t find a data transfer adapter.

You could also plug a regular flash drive into a phone charging cord with the USB C connector into the truck port.

That would be two male ends you would still need an adapter for it to work tho.

You should check your fuses first.

USB ports would not be fused...the module would be. Unless the port is charging only. Just like a phone charger.

I was looking all thru the house for something to work before I made the trip to Walmart lol. Luckily Walmart had something that did work tho! Glad to know the USB-C does updates! Maybe more people will find this incident helpful.

I’m going to look into changing it yes, I called my local ford dealership and they are charging $115 just for the hub….. so I did some searching and found someone posted a link to one on Amazon for a lot cheaper! It also match up with the model numbers and all, so I’ll probably buy that and try it out. If it works with updates then I’ll leave it but if not I’ll put the old one in and buy thru ford unless I can find one at a junk yard or something.

I tend to not trust anything sold by Amazon. Tasca Parts is usually the go to for OEM parts at a discounted price compared to your stealership.

This is actually the newest version of the hub, Ford has updated it's internals. The original part number in your truck will be suffix A or B suffix D Is the latest greatest.
