Ok... I have my old laptop running Win 10. Firewall and antivirus turned off. I only load the bare minimum of start up programs on it. Only use it for programing my truck. You could have things running in the background that are taking CPU time and it can't send data to the video. I would just let it run as long as the red light on the Mongoose is flashing. That means the truck and laptop are talking.

Thanks. I have nothing else either on this laptop. Solely FDRS. 8 BG ram though. I do see the red light flashing so maybe it’s just overloaded. Red light still flashing.

I did several dozen updates on 8GB ram laptop, that's not your issue.

Looks like it went to sleep and you get to redo the IPMA program. Fast light flashing = working, random single flash = frozen

My laptop is only 8GB and I have no trouble.....12 GB is recommended.

I would shut down what ever is running in memory at start up that you don't need before opening FDRS. Also turn off Windows defender and /or firewall.

Bad scene here. The culprit is the “new” Amazon / Dell refurb I bought. Won’t restart. Low battery light blinking even though it’s been plugged in full time. Obvs power supply system is bad.
Now lights being thrown all over the dash and I need a new laptop to reinstall everything just to fix it.

While you are walking that Lenovo through it's Out-of-the-box routine, do what you can to get that Refurb up 1 more time if possible. (depending on shelf time, could be a lot of updates)

You need to open FDRS up 1 time and release the license.
Otherwise you will need a second key.

You can call the helpline and ask for your license to be released. I am outside USA so my experience with helpline hasn’t been the best but been a lurker here long enough to know that the license can be released by them and can be reused on the new laptop. Your situation is tricky though and if you need to get working on the truck instantly, best to get another license. Is there any chance you can try switching the refurb laptop at least once?

Helpline is closed, of course. And I didn't see an option to release the license on the subscriptions page. A new license it will likely be.,
