i keep getting an update icon on screen then when i check to see what it is there is no update available. every time this pops up i get the apim fault. i have not updated my IPC wonder if this would stop the faults.

Can't say, but IPC update 6.8.0 fixed the APIM always going to the settings screen on truck start for me. The two should not be related, yet somehow they seem to be. I never had the phantom update issue that some are experiencing lately.

Hmm... Many of us have had success updating over WiFi, or USB, even when in past our trucks would never update with these methods. Sucks that it didn't give you the option at all.

As far as I can remember...this is the first IPC update that I have had.

Finally finished the IPC update - other than screwing up my settings...not sure what it changed. I don't like using Canbus..lol

i have been holding off on my IPC update.. just don't want to what 3 hours... its weird that in FDRS its shows the update but on PTS its not their.. may have to just do it.

My truck is a 21...yours may update through USB and be much faster. FDRS told me it would take 3 hours.....

EDIT: Just looked on FDRS - IPC update took 4 hours 9 minutes....

FDRS is directly looking at file versions. PTS is whatever truck last reported which can be incorrect.

Many of us with long term IPC issues installed easily this time around. Ford changed something apparently in the update last summer to fix broken IPC. Mine installed OTA with zero issues.

Side note - like I said...this is my first IPC update...I may be able to update the IPC faster next time around now.
