Oh, I was thinking, perhaps now I should replace my saved As-Builts with new As-Builts, now that everything has been updated? That way if I ever need to resort back to factory in the future, I will go back to today (after updates)?
I backup whatever module(s) I'm making changes in at the time. I figure that if I need a backup, it'll be in a few days at most of making changes. If there's a catastrophic issue, I can just get everything from the Motorcraft site.

Damn voice type... always making my forscan foreskin ?

Now that my 2021 Job1 502a is all updated via FDSR, I noticed the Forscan codes that I use for Global Windows before updates no longer works. Has everyone else seen this as well?

I really like Global windows want to get it back if anyone knows the new codes. I checked Livnitup's FORScan - 2021-23 January codes and they are the same. Any suggestions?

I was wondering if something as simple as Teamviewer or Anydesk would work as an interface between the 2 systems.

Sounds like the FDRS updates reset your FORScan changes. Have you double checked to see that those values haven’t changed?

So we just traded our Lightning ER last night. The Lightning
was awesome but need/want one ICE Powerboost. It's a Jan 21 build, Limited Powerboost and wondering if someone can look up VIN and see what updates if any have been done? Blue Cruise is not enabled and Cera options are original. Of course when you press "Check for Software Update," says it's up to date.

I am all about DIY even though the truck is still under Bumper to bumper warranty, just want to see if someone can tell me how far Behind it is and if I could update Myself? Thank you! 1FTFW1ED7MFA74593

Thank you! So if I follow the instructions here, Huge Thank You, get the Mongoose cable Exfat thumb drive and two days of FDRS you think that's enough time to do all of them.?

And of course a battery charger/booster. If nothing goes wrong, maybe. But you might also have multiple APIM updates stacked up that each take quite a bit of time.

If you can dedicate your time to it and update one after the other. Some of those updates will lead to further updates, especially the TCU/GWM/APIM.

Edit - I'd add that if you buy your license at a certain time of day you can actually squeak out 3 days. I can't remember the sweet spot, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

I also ditched my Platinum Lightning and picked up a dealer ordered PowerBoost. Best decision I made.

I just yesterday bought my license to brick and was successful updating all my modules. I only had 4 to update, which led to 1 more after I finished the first 4, but all in it took me maybe 2-3 hours.

Absolutely get the battery charger, if you don't already have one, it is a must. The recommended USB drive worked perfectly too.

Only other advice is to give yourself some extra time to get the license secured (after you have all your parts) and are ready to go. I had some headaches, which cost me 1-2 hours before I could get started updating.

Is it fair to say it sounds like it 2 out of 5 complexity, 5 out of 5 for length of time? I love the idea of learning this, but wonder if I should just take it to the dealer and get my Lightning back until they update them.

This is so encouraging. I'm a little excited, anxious to do it and not brick my Truck!

"..if nothing goes wrong...." You mean wrong and my truck is broken, or wrong and I have to do something twice?

I was very nervous to do it, but took a leap of faith because I knew I had the support of some really great people on this forum, and I am glad I did.

If you have any issues, the guys here will get you back up and running, if need be.

Based on the long but distinguished list of updates, that Limited is literally limited from being a Limited.

The previous owner just thought he knew what that truck was like to own.

It's going to be so much nicer in so many ways. Soon. :)
