Third part of Alexa? I thought people were getting Alexa with the previous module updates that were up in FDRS. Is this to give Alexa more features perhaps?

I wonder if that means that 3.5.3 is also a partial update and this TCU update would come in as 3.5.4 or something along those lines.
I’m using Ford terminology, not functional description. When Ford first notified dealers and customers via an SSM that Alexa was on the way, it said that the rollout would be coming in three parts: first a GWM update, then an APIM update and finally a TCU update to complete the deployment. Neither the GWM nor the TCU likely adds “Alexa“ functionality as we understand it but Ford considered all three pieces to be part of a single unified deployment.

Encouraging to hear, we should all be so fortunate to have dealers like this available.
I don't want to take the thread off topic, but while this looks like a nice thing from the dealer, it was so far from that. I told them I wanted to see FDRS because they wouldn't do updates for me either and my truck has been in twice now for a total of 21 days for the same problem. He started showing me this to appease me. The dealer and service is actually so bad I'm not sure I'll even go back there.

Yes. This TCU update is the same as what 2022 runs.. SO the 21 and 22 are now truly unified

I agree completely. What a difference it would make if that was the norm. It'd be so easy to just be completely transparent and honest. The customer trust would skyrocket.
I love the fact that they turned the screen to let you see what they see. That's a powerful way to share and establish trust.

Edit: I see that the original poster of this incident has clarified what happened and that it was not an attempt by the service writer to be honest or transparent.

Dang, I've been wanting to say nice things about a dealership service department. I thought I caught a chance!

@Jesse-Infotainment Did yall get securialert back running? I just got home after being gone all week and got Alexa setup and noticed that my securialert is still working just fine.

Well shit, I was fully expecting my Securialert to be gone after all the master resets I did. Anything I can provide from my truck to see why yours isn't back?

Nope mine has been dead. Jesse is aware of my situation too.
I was hoping that the new TCU update would fix it. You’re the only one so far to have applied it.
