Yup, I have access to exactly that. It is really cool. When someone plugs FDRS in the truck, you can pretty much see every single thing they did (or didn't do). It records all DTCs and OTA history for 60 days at a time. However, vehicle history as far as what was done with FDRS stays recorded for the life of the vehicle. You can see what module updates succeeded and which ones failed, what TSB's were pulled, what module repairs were made or attempted, etc. It's actually a very powerful tool. For the DTC's to be recorded, the Fordpass account has to be activated. However, it does not need Fordpass to see anything else on the truck.

Agreed. I suppose if you go in for Blue Cruise ain't working - it should be addressed as a complaint.

I'm simply saying that if you go in for a service, or another (unrelated) issue they will address the issue or complaint but "please update all my software" is not a valid complaint from Ford's perspective.
Understood. Makes (financial) sense that the service techs aren’t going to go over and above to fix issues the customer hasn’t complained about unless it’s maybe some sort of safety issue that could result in liability or something on their end. It’s just sad and maybe the state of the world these days.

At least I can make it clear to them that my reason for bringing the truck in for service (BC not functional) was not successfully addressed.

Their favorite line is that “OTA updates are released to different trucks at different times”. ?

..,the advisor actually showed me quite a bit about what they have access to today - ..,

I was actually very impressed what they had available.
That really speaks well of your dealership and that service writer. What a great way to build trust and a positive relationship.

Encouraging to hear, we should all be so fortunate to have dealers like this available.

Did this just drop? If so, it’s the third part of the Alexa rollout. Should be safe. All of them have been so far.
yes, thanks for the heads up

It sure did! Its about a 140MB file for USB update.

Sounds about right. The TCU updates tend to be relatively small. Easy to send OTA. Ford will probably send it that way. . . eventually.

Third part of Alexa? I thought people were getting Alexa with the previous module updates that were up in FDRS. Is this to give Alexa more features perhaps?

I wonder if that means that 3.5.3 is also a partial update and this TCU update would come in as 3.5.4 or something along those lines.

Edit: The Ford Power Up wiki lists 3.5.4 as a TCU update for the Mach E with "minor adjustments" as the description.
