Eventually it will pop up. If not it will tel you to verify in fdrs

Waited 35 minutes and nothing. Trying again….ugh. Once you start the USB download it is possible to disconnect from the truck and get closer to WiFi, correct? I was connected the entire time on the first try. Just trying to see if I can speed up the 5gb download to the USB.

Did you check your version in the About apim to see if theupdate stuck?

Sounds like you might have messed up the sequence. It’s easy to do. When you are prompted to restart the truck, you don’t restart it right away. Leave the flash drive in place, turn off the ignition, open and close the door and walk away from the truck for 20-30 minutes. Don’t approach the truck with the transponder in your pocket during this time. Check on the truck every once in a while by looking in the back window to see if the LED halo around the rear seat USB ports has gone out. When it has, it’s time to restart the truck. When the Sync system reboots, you should then be prompted to remove the USB drive and transfer it to your laptop.

Yeah It is.. I was wrong I though they would make you go the other one first. Then this one like they usually do

Youll have to do the update again. It didnt stick

Make sure you leave the USB in and when it says restart required leave it in turn the truck off and walk away for about 10 mins.

Then come back and start teh truck again.

Wait for the update success to remove USB

If you did a master reset on your truck to gain alexa did securalert return after setting everythign up again?

I los tmine and jsut want to know. I care but dont care. Its weird. I hate it but I love it. I find it useless but dont like not having it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ford is quietly discontinuing that feature. I turned it on and then back off forever after being annoyed by all the notifications about me opening the door. This half baked idea could have been WAY better if it didn't log every event happening with the owners key.
