I heard you can add bricks inside the tank to reduce the volume...Sorry, had to say it. Where I am, to fill my tank with 87, when bone dry, it is $229.70. So will trade you...Is there an update out yet to fill the diesel tank on the baby Powerstroke for less than $110.00?
Yeah, I've seen it do this everytime I finish up and get ready to disconnect or shut FDRS off before unplugging....... when FDRS says Updating database that is what is it doing for that module.
Have you made any Forscan changes to the BCM? Has the Mach E owner?Yeah, I've seen it do this everytime I finish up and get ready to disconnect or shut FDRS off before unplugging.
So if I have changed a bit using FORSCAN in the APIM to add a 'soft' button to a menu for the frunk release...and then I connect back up with FDRS... is there a way to do something like select the APIM and some tool like the Sync Connectivity check (which wouldn't really change anything) that would cause this bit change to get populated to the cloud during the database update when it's done?
I'm trying to force this change to populate to my asbuilt in the cloud.
The reason I ask is that another Mach-E owner and I have been comparing notes. After the GWM/APIM thing this past weekend (we both have '21 Job 1 cars) the frunk soft button on his was still there after the update. But mine was gone. When I checked the cloud asbuilts for both our cars, his had the correct value for the soft button but mine didn't. So I figured it must be this self-reporting process that updated the cloud with the FORSCAN change he had made previously (as most of us had done), but in his case it stuck and in my case it didn't.
So if I can trigger this database update somehow...I'm hoping that would populate the cloud data with the desirable change.
Well all of us got a BCM and GFM update about a week ago that enabled the frunk release function. So now we can open the frunk using the door keypad, and if we manually add back (it used to be there but didn't work) the frunk button to the Access menu in Sync then we can do that as well.Have you made any Forscan changes to the BCM? Has the Mach E owner?
I understood fine. I was trying to get clarity on something but never mind you can follow this or not.I've made the change in FORSCAN...the problem is how to force this database update to make it stick.
With the help of Jesse, my friends at the dealership successfully force updated my '21 job-1 Limited to gain blue cruise and everything else.
@Jesse-Infotainment gave me a specific order of updates to do and the tech followed them to a T.
The tech said that was the fastest he's ever successfully updated any of the newer vehicles and applauded Jesse's info.
Now that my Mongoose adapter showed up today as well I'll still get it all set up and tinker with it.
Thanks again Jesse.
VIn?Could you PM me that info? My dealer is being worthless. I don't think they have update anything honestly.

It’s better if I see where you are at and what needs to be done every situation is a bit different and at a different spot.1FTFW1E56MFA48057
Sorry, I just assumed there was a ‘general’ process, like BCM - then APM - etc
Thank you so much! You and everyone here help everyone out so much I didn’t want to bother anyone with my update woes. It’s better if I see where you are at and what needs to be done every situation is a bit different and at a different spot.
You have 10 updates as of now. You do not have BlueCrusie. So They need to start with the Gateway, IPC, IPMA.Thank you so much! You and everyone here help everyone out so much I didn’t want to bother anyone with my update woes.
