I'd like just once to see a successful ota.... Ugh.

You can wait and see.. I am impatient. Also it helps me to be able to answer questions. So I usually dont wait. I wanted to also. My last OTA was 2.1.1

Not yet for Alexa. They seem to be getting ready for some of those things to be turned on though.

I posted this on another thread asking about an expanded screen for CarPlay/AA. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10217136-0001.pdf. I should have cross-posted it here. Ford has signaled an upcoming round of OTAs, which are supposed to include updates for Alexa and screen resizing, among other things. The updates @Jesse-Infotainment saw on FDRS may or may not be related to these upcoming OTA updates.

A month ago I turned off the automatic updates since there seemed to be an issue with one of the updates for the '21 trucks. Has that been resolved and can I turn back on my automatic updates?

I think it was 2 days ago someone had a bad update pushed to them which Jesse was able to fix. But there are definitely people getting the right OTA's....so do it at your own risk I guess

There is no reason to turn auto on. They still show up and the truck still preps them you have to approve is all. Auto installs without approval. We are not saying to turn off updates only the auto installation of updates

I've got a question about 'self-reporting' and updating of the cloud asbuilt data. Does anybody know what triggers this or what the frequency is?

NOpe. It happens when it happens. I had mine finally happen after a few months. They black listed a few of my modules from ever self reporting. They had black listed a few modules in FDRS also. Those same modules are available in FDRS but do not report ever. when FDRS says Updating database that is what is it doing for that module.

The self reporting I have found NO rhyme or reason or pattern.

I thought I had at one point before Ford removed Journeys from Ford Pass. It seemed to report fairly regularly when using journeys

Mine finally reported all the recent changes minus the black listed modules.

Is it still advised to wait on 2 day license until tomorrow? Was hoping to knock some updates out tonight.

It was after I did the IPMA to add 360 cams almost 2 years ago. At that time I had done the digital cluster and a few things but the IPMA is when the booted me completely. Vin was blocked from most all access and my account was banned. They eventually relented or gave up I guess. My banned account was never regained. Funny thing is the IPMA reports fine the IPC doesnt. Although I can update the IPC fine in FDRS it wont write the correct as build since it doesnt self report and has old as build data. The BCM was changed when I went to Push to start and passive entry. SO I cant do anything in FDRS for the BCM. The updates always make me a bit hesitant. My Gateway update made me nervous because of BlueCruise. They DID turn a bit off, I turned it back on and it all worked fine.

The APIM update went fine. That still reports. It is the IPC, HVAC(Went Auto Climate) and BCM I have issues with at this point. They should report and they do not. I guess I am pretty lucky overall.

They are up as of now. seems to be fine but cant say for certain that you wont run into an issue.
