A note for anyone that is wanting to do any programming this weekend

So after thinking about this a minute.....they're updating the server...

Does this mean they're validating the files? Meaning do they think they've been distributing erroneous files or something?

Unless all the Sync Gen 4 files are all on the same server system and they're making a physical change to where or how they're stored. Just seems weird to come out with something like that. It's very specific.

My thinking is since these are all USB update modules. There was a rumor of new OTAs rolling out. To add alexa and the CarPlay resizing. So it could be adding new packages. They replace the old files with new s that makes sense why the PMI for those modules would be done also.

Could be making some improvements for those severs also. Its hard to say. The weekend is typically when they do these things and I have seen announcements they would be doing servers maintenance before they were never this specific though

I guess we will see monday if we have new updates available

Edit I wanted to confirm before I posted. The USB files are stored on a different server. SO these files are all on a different server specific to these modules.

I was going to download a two day license and have at the updates this weekend but I too was under the impression servers were going to be down. I just hope things don’t get screwed up this week.

Same for the Mach-E FDRS crowd. Many of us updated this morning as well...also to Sync 498.

EDIT: specifically '21 Job 1 and 2 cars. Not the '22s.

After the APIM update, most likely you're navigation map version was updated as well. Could you post a picture of your navigation map version for us.

Note for 2022 Job2 folks.....
None of these recent updates apply.

This is still catch-up for previous builds.
(at least from the point of view of my 4/11/2022 VIN)

I'm still waiting for the kick in the nuts where they keep rolling on the 21s, the 23's roll out with the latest, and the 22's become the forgotten middle child.
But what are we missing?

I traded a 2021 that I had for 1 year in on my 2022 once it finally arrived.

Although with the aid of this thread my 2021 was completely updated when I traded it, I got out of it and into what is considerably ahead.

I don't think we know much about the 2023's yet since one doesn't exist! :)

Now if they'd only go OTA.... I've done everything manually since they effed up 1.7.1
I'd like just once to see a successful ota.... Ugh.
