You can PMI any module. You just want to be sure of the circumstances when you do.Are there any modules that are not safe to PMI at all?
Jesse, how does one go about side-loading? Is there a written procedure for this? Is it similar to the process used to UF the APIM that's stuck at 1.7.1?You are where several people were. The FDA is loaded. That’s actually a good thing because it’s the large file. The 188 should be fca and takes about 4-5 mins. You can try a PMI and see if it will now load the fca. If not we would have to side load that file. Yoo poop u won’t get any further until the cluster has the 188 is at fca
Thank you for looking at it! I just tried to do a PMI and received the attached error. You are where several people were. The FDA is loaded. That’s actually a good thing because it’s the large file. That procedure is only necessary if your APIM is stuck in purgatory and won’t execute USB updates. If your updates via USB are working you can skip that procedure.I ended up getting a new battery charger and have been doing updates all day with no problems at all so far! But I just watched Slappy Mcgee's video and that was the first time I heard anything about taking trim off and unplugging something/using an adapter. I'm still not clear on what I need to buy to be able to do that - I thought all I needed was the 3.0 USB stick, as it doesn't say anything about adapters in the guide. Can someone shed some light on this for me please?
It’s not something just anyone can do. No it’s different.Jesse, how does one go about side-loading? Is there a written procedure for this? Is it similar to the process used to UF the APIM that's stuck at 1.7.1?

I've read the Nano has issues with the Cruise Control Module (CCM) and just based on the name I would assume that is needed for BlueCrusie.I am looking to get this done this week but of course can't find a mongoose-plus in stock anywhere.
Can someone answer if the CCB needs to be updated in order for me to get bluecruise working(2021 job 1 truck)? If so and I order the VCX nano I assume I am DOA?
I'm about to take a 1300 mile roadtrip (each way) and would kind of like bluecruise...
If you updated via the nano not only would you not have Blue Cruise, you'd lose cruise control completely. That would make your 1300 mile trip REALLY suck.I am looking to get this done this week but of course can't find a mongoose-plus in stock anywhere.

Be sure to follow these directions, many modules requires others the be performed before they will take.I tried updating the IPMA last night, fully expecting it to take 3+ hours, but it actually ran for about 9 hours - not kidding. Then at the end it said there was a error/it was unsuccessful. Pretty annoying. Did anyone else run into this error? Should I have updated something else prior to the IPMA? Prior to this I've updated the PCM, ABS, SOBDMC, BECM, CCM, PSCM and the CMR. Still plenty left to do lol.
