I’ve been using 45.6.7 for a couple of weeks, despite the cryptic request above the link not to use it yet. Non event. It was listed on the download page mid screen left side
i looked once more nothing for me... ford must be getting ready to cut me off.I’ve been using 45.6.7 for a couple of weeks, despite the cryptic request above the link not to use it yet. Non event.
You have to go directly to the motorcraftservice.com website and download it from there. There’s no link to it on the FDRS log-in page.i looked once more nothing for me... ford must be getting ready to cut me off.
ok.. i see it now... i think i am going to stay with what i have till the send it to me.You have to go directly to the motorcraftservice.com website and download it from there. There’s no link to it on the FDRS log-in page.
Go ahead and update them all. Start with the APIM first and any subsequent TCU and GWM updates first before proceeding to the others. Note the BCM module can only be updated by a dealer.Noob question. I just got my Mongoose cable and I would like to update my modules "just because" having open updates bothers me. Plus, it seems like many people can't get regular OTA's (myself included) unless they get to a "fresh start" with completely updated modules.
However, there is also information floating around out there that says, "Unless you are having a specific problem.... DON'T update your modules".
I tried skimming through all 1081 pages of posts on this thread, and I tried using the "search" bar for an answer but it's still not clear to me. For example, As you can see below my truck shows to have a PCM update (Thanks @rugedraw for checking my modules when you could still do that) which on one hand seems important, and on the other seems risky since I'm not experiencing a "problem". I also noticed my truck has things like "Driver and Passenger Door module updates" and a "Trailer Module" update which seem both unimportant and less risky, so I'm kind of inclined to test the waters with those "little updates" before I try anything big like the PCM.
So, what's the consensus? Should I update all my modules with FDRS... or leave it all alone?

Thanks, I actually had my truck at the dealer a while back and they replaced my Gateway module and updated it, which is why it isn't showing on the screenshot of available updates, but I'll keep an eye open for it and make sure to do that first if it appears.Go ahead and update them all. Depending on how recently you’ve done those ForScan changes, the updates should not affect those. If they did, go back and re-enable.Thanks, I actually had my truck at the dealer a while back and they replaced my Gateway module and updated it, which is why it isn't showing on the screenshot of available updates, but I'll keep an eye open for it and make sure to do that first if it appears.
One more question. I have made some previous modifications using ForScan, such as the "Anti-Glare" headlights, Bambi mode, etc., etc. A lot of the posts in this thread mention that the FDRS updates will wipe out the ForScan changes. Will it be okay to go back in after the update(s) and make those changes again? I don't want to essentially un-do what the FDRS update provides, by going back in afterwards and making changes using @Livnitup 's ForScan Spreadsheet. Any other advice there?

Updates: don't know. Late to the party? YesI last updated all my modules back in January of this year. Any cool new updates since then worth me going through the whole process again?
Also, I just noticed last weekend for the first time ever that navigation prompts are now showing up in the center of the instrument panel when using Google Maps and CarPlay. Is this new or is my truck just late to the party?
Is that related to the message that a credentialed login is required? What's in the update that requires that?... Note the BCM module can only be updated by a dealer.
Dealer tech told me once it’s because the BCM controls locking and security, so it’s to prevent theft. BCM module controls many other parts of the vehicle as well, but that was their reasoning. Is that related to the message that a credentialed login is required? What's in the update that requires that?
