I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I don't see any change in the brightness. I've only changed the 3's to 2's on 42-01 on the first group. I've tried all the brightness codes on 38-01, only changing the first two characters on the second group. I've tried putting it in drive to see if they brighten up then but didn't work. I enabled DRL in parking lights to see if that helps, it doesn't. I'm nor sure what I'm missing or screwing up. Anyone have ideas? Truck is a 21 XLT with quad LEDs if that helps.

UPDATE:

I got some help from Facebook. Apparently reloading my as built save and changing just the percentage codes and doing a bcm reset fixed it. Now they're nice and bright.

Howdy! Does anyone know if the same exact BCM values shared by the OP @Nightshade for his 2021 are the right ones for a 2016 Lariat with LEDs? I've tried both the 42-01 and the 38-01 changes several times and get a message "Writing block failed - incompatible configuration" message.

I had my DRLs set to Parking Light LED + Turns, so I reverted them back to Parking Light LEDs only, hoping that was the issue, but got the same error message.

Thanks!

@antho thank you. I'll do some digging. I did notice in the first page or two of the thread that Nightshade had this working on his 2016 as well.

@antho is correct, this is only meant for 21+ F-150s. However I do have the values from the previous gen, and I’m sure the admins of this forum will let this slide for me this once but the values for 2015-2020 F-150s DRL brightened up should be:

BCM -> 726-29-02 -> x*xx xxxx xxxx (x1xx xxxx xxxx), which should look something similar to “0100 0001 005A”. Just change the * to a 1 and it should work.

—Just a disclaimer though, for the 2015-2017 F-150s sometimes have reported it doesn’t work so try with due diligence.

**Remember to back up your module before making any changes.

@Nightshade you're the man! And I was hoping I wouldn't cause any trouble given this is gen14, but I appreciate it. I'll for sure backup module, and already have my as-built saved.

I just read through all 19 pages of this thread lol. I bought a 23 XLT Powerboost F150 2 weeks ago and I am getting all the changes together that I want to make in Forscan so I only have to do it once. Its been a minute since I used Forscan (used it on my 2019 F150 some years ago). I just want to see if the general consensus is 75% for the DRL's and find out the FOR SURE changes I need to need make because I dont think the changes below are correct? So far I am wanting to change:

Disable Double honk 726-26-02: xxxx0-xxxx-xx--
LED's 726-38-01: xxxx-xxx1-xxxx

I have a feeling that I'm not understanding this correctly since it looks like there is a 726-42-01 that needs changed for the brighter LED DRL's as well?

First post and first time using forscan:

Did it today in about 2 hours total time spent on my 2021 King Ranch. I must say i am so pleased with the results!! So far no flickering but will report back if any issues. I also did bambi mode and no double honk. I used the following to set it to 75% brightness:
BCM - 726-38-01 xxxx 4Axx xx--

I did not have an HP or PC computer as ive only used Mac for school so I picked this up at best buy for about $190 and it worked great:

Before: (not the best photos my iphone 14 didn't want to pick up on the glare)

So, is it possible to increase the brightness without going to max brightness? If so, can anyone come up with a table that shows approximate output with the required Forscan coding?
Here is the settings for the DRL brightness

I unfortunately lost my as built data. I’m trying to revert DRL to stock brightness. Does anyone know what those values would be? Would stock be 50% (32) or 0% (0A)?

Has anyone noticed there is not a difference in brightness with all the other settings? I tried every percentage from 100 to 10 and once you get above 10% the brightness does not change. Basically, I am not seeing a difference in 20% and 100%....anyone else?

And I can see why some guys feel full bright at night is too bright...I agree! LoL Which is why I'm trying find a middle ground...

Hi all, writing from Uruguay. I have a 2022 f150 3.5 ecoboost. Issue with my DRL. They dont work daytime (in drive, not parking brake, in motion, lights on auto). They work when i aproach the car (cortesy), when the head lights are on, but not in auto during day time. Any idea what could be?. Thanks in advance.

I think they changed the XLT DRLs in the 24s and 25s.
changing this value I assume won’t do anything in my 2025 with the orange line DRL correct?
Or is my DRL dim as well?
