Ok so what is the Forscan change that needs to be made if you don't mind? Glare free toggle and the DRL toggle switch.
Sending you a PM!

i want to do this but its seems like such a huge headache haha

i see the first post saying 75% seems to keep the flicker down but after reading allllll these pages it seems people like 60% more.

was there ever a 100% definite percentage that has no flickering issues?

also, i guess i need to do more learning about the truck. so when you turn off DRL's, that is just referring to the LED bars around the headlights correct?

also, i always keep my headlamp switch in Auto is that going to cause an issue? i read post about mode 1 or mode 2 positioning.

just trying to fully understand all this

It’s simple really haha.

It’s a hit and miss really, you’d need to try it on your truck and see what works. Both my 2021 XLT 302A (work) and my 2022 Lariat 502A (personal) are both on 100% for over a year, no issues or flickers. Some have had flickering issues, so most have tried 75% next. Then down to 60%. It varies.

Yes. It disables the DRL led bars. Auto will turn your headlights on regardless. My DRLs however are disabled when I want it to, like police vehicles have (first responder myself).

Upon checking my notes, noted have tons from the past haha, that’s the same as built. Maybe try the following:

BCM: 729-29-02 -> x1xx xxxx xxxx

Restore your BCM to the previous newest backup if you made it, if you didn’t make any changes till now then proceed with the change above. Ignore the other values, just change the value in place of ”1”.
Nightshade - Happy to report the above worked perfectly with one minor typo correction - it is BCM: 726-29-02 -> x1xx xxxx xxxx - so thank you again - the DRLs are a heck of a lot more effective now.

Hello! Is there a way to increase the DRL brightness only in the parking lights mode? So if headlights come on, DRL goes back to dim. Thank you!

Negative. The stock values from factory already does this; if you’re not in DRL mode the led bars go dim in parking and headlight (low beam) modes. This change keeps the LED bar brightness high on across all modes on the headlight.

Hello,

Newbie here with a question.
I have forscan on my '22 F150. I have learned something you guy/gals talk about works and some doesn't. I even notified forscan and their aware. With that said. I have my DLR turned on. I have the turn signals on for DLR. Only way to make this happen is to also turn on parking lights. Will this work by making my DLR (turn signals) brighter? Thanks.

I take it you have aftermarket headlights or are they OEM?

Thank you, Nightshade, great stuff. Please clarify for me please. I just finished with Forscan and led bar got much brighter. My initial thought would be i would be able to run led bars by having the light swith in O and putting in Drive. My issue that i tinted my windows and my low beams are on most of the day, so was hoping to have LED driving light on and not my low beams.
so Option 1 = off
option 2 = park lights
option 3 = auto
option 4= ON
So is it possible somehow to keep led bar on without low beams on during darker hours during the day? i tried to run led bar in option 1 and put in the gear drive but they are not on.
only one option is in park lights (option 2), but it means i have to switch ti off every time i leaving my truck because it is an annoying reminder that light are on? or is park light will turn off eventually and not to drain my battery life.
Thank you

You’re welcome! You should be able to use just the “L” LED bar in Option 2 parking lights while driving at night as well, that way your low beams shouldn’t turn on if you don’t want it on—unless you’re in Option 3 at night which defaults to low beams coming on and of course Option 4. You can also use a FORScan change prevent the switch to switch back to default mode and see how that does? See below for that change. Attempt it for like 15 minutes and see if it shuts off, which it should.

Prevent headlamp switch from defaulting to Auto positionBCM726-74-01xx01xxxxxx--headlamp switch will revert to last position used on next startup

Report back and see if that helps?

—Note, some F-150s in US won’t have DRLs on as default but I know all Canadian trucks up here has DRLs as part of regulation, my work around for that is DRL disabled; with approval of course.

Thank you, Nightshade, ill try to do that. In the meantime is there a chance to set Light bar to be on in option 1 (off). my ideal set up will be to have option 1 (off) all the time and have led bar on in drive and manually switch to option 3(auto) when it gets darker to have low beams + led bar.

and im trying to make sense of these codes:
first one is put rear light with DRL
second keep fogs with drl
what is 3rd one do?

What's the default %? I actually think mine are too bright.

Will it dazzle other drivers?
I’d rather be considerate than look cool.
I turned mine up to 100% and got LOTS of complaints from friends if I was following them. I turned them back down to just a little above factory default and it seems to be a happy medium.

Happy to report that the code of course worked and it is not going to auto by default and stays on off as my last option.
I did my DDL on the brightest 100% and honestly, they are bright, but are they too bright to blind the oncoming traffic or car in front of you? I really doubt that
