Could you be more specific?

My console is cavernous. Big enough for a soft sided cooler that we use on road trips. A couple members have even installed mini 12V fridges.

OP might be talking about the lid cover/center arm rest. It does seem like a lot of "space" that isn't accessible.

I like that the non work surface version, is cushy

There is some sort of Bullet type mount for the underside but the OEM springs for that thing are already weak.

My truck has more built in storage than any I've had before so ...

Well, hell, you could almost fit a small child in the damn console. I really don’t understand the need for more console space. Besides that the ergonomics are getting items off the bottom of the lid would be kind of odd.

The console space is cavernous! I installed an organizer tray that is supported by the lip of the console space so I can get to things I need more immediately than rummaging through the cavern. THIS ONE

What model and trim level do you have ? I replaced the center seat on my 24 RCSB with one from a 23 that has the lid with storage underneath it.

2023 XLT. The console is huge, and the lid is big - I wondered if there was some conversion to make the space inside the lid usable

Been wondering the same thing. It is a lot of unused space, at the very least they could have put a cutout for a tissue box.

Not compared to my 2013 XLT, now THAT is one HUGE console cavern, this one is about 2/3 the size and the fact remains there's a lot more space in that lid that can be utilized for a lot of things.

The best upgrade I’ve made to my F150. Instead of a massive junk bin, I now have cold drinks and lunch. And maybe road sodas.

It looks like Dometic may have discontinued this product, which would be a huge shame because it’s amazing to have. You can still find some on eBay and elsewhere.
