Just got this email from my dealer:
On all F-150 orders Ford is now dropping the connected navigation and SiriusXM. The price of your truck will be reduced by $200. This adjustment will be reflected on your window sticker.
I am currently scheduled for June 6th on a 501a PowerBoost.

Has anyone else heard about this? I was likely only going to be using my phone BUT my real concern is about how this might affect resale value later on. In no way does $200 cover navigation being removed.

Edit: From another forum this is supposedly from the dealer notice from Ford.

Connected Navigation and SiriusXM with 360L are no longer available on 100A-501A where optional or included. Connected Navigation and SiriusXM® with 360L Removal is now required where applicable on these trims and will include a credit on the window sticker. Connected Built-In Navigation is no longer available where optional on 100A-501A trims.

I didn't plan on using those, but $200 seems like a slap in the face. When I get rid of my truck down the road, those are two huge features that will drive down the resale value, especially to customers that use those.

Where did you get that information? Also, is that on all unscheduled orders or new MY23 orders when the order banks reopen?

Ah, I just saw from "dealer" my bad.

I got the call from my dealer about this earlier today. I opted for SXM only on my build and decided to not go with nav since I'd be using Google maps. He said they go hand-in-hand even if Nav isn't activated. I told him to delete both and I'll use android auto. Hopefully it gets scheduled soon. He wasn't sure if it was going to be an option that could be added in later like some of the other constraints.

I to would be curious to hear exactly what this means and for who. I can't imagine a $70k vehicle of any kind would not be able to have navigation in it.

It looks as though this is the second model to lose navigation. Ford Authority reported last month "The 2022 Bronco lineup will lose its optional factory navigation system option beginning with Job 2 production, which applies to all models built on or after May 2nd, 2022.."

They further went on to say "it doesn’t appear likely that Ford dealers will be able to add this feature at a later date..."

At least you'll be able to use your phone for navigation.

This is pretty troubling..I ordered a Tremor the first week of May and truly wonder how many things will be removed by the time my truck hits production.

I don't think that is saying you don't get Navigation. You don't get the connected service that is an additional feature in Navigation. Separate from the native GPS function of Navigation maps.

Having said that, I don't understand why a connected service (Ford's name for subscription services) would delay a build or require parts on the assembly line. There's something else going on here.

Here's the current connected services subscriptions on my April 11 build

Perhaps it's related to a shortage of satellite antenna/receivers. The OP posted they were deleting connected navigation and SiriusXM. That sounds to me that Ford may be using communication satellite bandwidth...maybe on the 6 SiriusXM satellites.

You know what? I bet you are on to it.
It's not the modem related "connected services", but rather the satellite related services

If so, I sure hope they leave the truck wired for it and adding it back in is just plug&play.

Does this only apply to the new builds? Mine had a blend date of 02/10/22 would i be affected?
