Can anyone get 20+mpg [updated on 23 Oct]

I got 25.2 on my first full tank after buying this off-lease '21 with 2WD. The computer nearly-accurately showed 25.5. This is right on the EPA combined rating of 25. This is suburban driving; lots of short trips in the city where I pay close attention to the EV Coach to keep it in electric mode as much as practical. I routinely get 27-28 on those short trips. Plus maybe 30% highway miles at ~72 mph. I'm driving it with a fairly light touch but I'm not the slowest one out there by any means. When I bought the truck the long-term computer calculation was a little over 22 mpg.

Filled up the truck on the 31st. The truck Trip 1 read 353.7 miles, 72.5 electric miles, and 21.5 mpg. The hand calculated mpg was 20.8.

I had been averaging 22.6 over the last 12k+ miles. 3 weeks ago I installed new wheels and tires (Both wheels and tires are the exact same as before only brand new) and discount informed me of a broken axle bolt. I took the truck directly to my dealership And they replaced axles. As soon as picked the truck up from dealership I immediately noticed my fuel economy droppin. In my normal driving situation (home to office for instanc) what I would usually expect 22-24 mpg on a trip, I am now getting 18.5ish. I can only think of tire pressure or winter fuel as new variables.

any thoughts?

any thoughts?

Could be due to the differential lube they refilled the rear with. If they used a heavier oil or non synthetic, it can create a loss.

Best of knowledge, when they replace axles in these trucks they don’t have to drain fluid?

I would think so, nothing else to remove or check for debris in the fluid. With the axle out, they are certainly going to lose a little bit of fluid.

Would have to check the service record and see if a shop simply added fluid or if they drained and refilled.

Are your tire pressures different than what you were running three weeks ago?

Added about 3 pounds this morning to see if that changes anything
