When the soles of my boots are wet from the ground they slide off the small Ford brake pedal much too easily. I have looked for something larger or with more grip but not found anything that will work on my 2022 F-150 truck. Have others found a good replacement pedal pad for their truck?

Not to be a contrarian here but it moreso sounds like a boot issue. My shoes and boots are constantly wet where I live, and have never had a pedal slip. I agree that some grip tape would possibly be the best fix here

I agree…..I’ve never thought the brake pedal was slippery. Hell, I even wipe both down with armor all when I clean the interior. The weather tech floor mats get the same treatment

The problem here isn’t the brake pedal pad. The problem is the boots.

I could see the boots certainly being a problem if they are the typical leather sole cowboy boots

He lives in CA, water being found on the ground is foreign to him. I've never found water and pedals to be an issue through a variety footwear and conditions.

No need to be snarky and if you don't have a clue there is not need to post drival. I have been driving trucks since 1968 and in all kinds of weather and with all kinds of boots with a wide variety of soles.

The pedal area is smaller than most and the groves are vertical which does not help either.

Appears I was wrong to expect any contructive information from m.truckers.

This may sound a bit odd but I find the brake pedal placement in these trucks too far to the left and too high off the floor. I suspect it's not your boots but a general lack of contact with the pedal. I'm a CDL driver over 6ft with size 12 boots (for size context) and I have had that happen as well but only in my personal truck.

Generally speaking on any vehicle, the bottom right quadrant of the brake pedal pad is worn the most. But in my truck it's just a tiny corner of the pedal perhaps the size of a guitar pick that's worn. I've had 2 different Gen 14s (one with adjustable pedals and one without) and the pedal spacing is....not intuitive. I too, have searched for better pedal pads with not much success. Wish I could be of more help. Perhaps if nothing else, help you keep your sanity?

There actually were some constructive responses. the grip tape would be an option to try until you can find something that works better. Or take the pedal pad and take an abrasive disk to it to rough the rubber up, sipe it like a tire tread. Can't say i've ever had that problem but there is always a first. Have you tried a search on the forum?

I live in western Pa and in the winter time the inside of my truck would get so dirt from salt and anti skid material. I would clean the inside a lot of times. I used Amor All on the pedals and also my Weather Tech floor mats. After a couple of times using Armor All, I found the pedals and the floor mats so slippery it was near impossible to use either one. I now just wipe the pedals off with soapy water and pressure wash the floor mats with just a little regular car wash soap. Have not had any slippery pedals (or floor mats) since. It did take a number of washing the pedals with hot water and mild soap before the slipperiness went away.

Did you ever look into this issue or just get used to it? My 2018 work F150 is fine, my 2023 definitely has the brake pedal too far to the left. Unfortunately its been a pain to drive

No viable solution. Looked at pedal pads etc. Nothing that seemed sturdy enough. Sorry
